I’m after some advice went back to see my gynaecologist yesterday after having a lap surgery 4 weeks ago, was supposed to have my ovaries removed but they had to stop surgery as one is stuck to my bladder & the other to my kidney & bladder tube 😔
Has anyone else experienced this as I now have to see the bowel & bladder specialist in the coming weeks to see if they can operate without me having to have a colostomy bag. This now confirms the huge amount of pain I’ve been in for years.
Thank you
Kerry

Hi Kerry I’m afraid I can’t offer much in terms of where it’s all connected but I can relate as mine is attached to my bowel and effects movements and everything. I can be in the bathroom anywhere from 20minutes to two hours. It’s exhausting.
I will say I wish you luck and keep pushing whoever you need to push to get what you need xx
I’m going through the same thing. I have only one ovary as one was removed at 8 weeks old. And I found out after my recent surgery to remove a cyst from my remaining ovary that the ovary is also fused to my bowel and the complications that the next surgery might entail.
I just had my appointment with the very helpful bowel specialist who said they can only know for sure when they are actually operating but they aim to remove the endometriosis without removing a section of the bowel and it is the last resort to have a bag.
Thank you for your advice and it’s nice to know someone else is going through something similar.
I think that will be the case with case with me after talking to the specialists surgeons, I think they will need to go in and see for themselves although they have pictures from my recent surgery 4 weeks ago. If it’s to risky I may not have a choice of surgery.
