Desperate for adequate medication.
Co
-
codamol
, Gabapentin & Naproxen have all but failed. She continues to soldier on with these in various combinations but her GP never seems to give her anything else. I feel so bad for her and can only suggest finding a GP with an understanding of Fibro.

Pain Relief offered on NHS
UK Fibro Friends: I am recently diagnosed & all my doctor has offered me is
co
-
codamol

I was diagnosed with Acute Pericarditis 10 weeks ago however after 8 weeks of treatment colchicine, ibuprofen,

my symptoms were getting worse. At the moment my cardiologist doesn't know what it is but he's pretty sure its not pericarditis.

co

codamol
, gabapentin & amitriptyline) to stay as mobile as possible.

Sleep deprived
Had my pain meds changed from
co

codamol
to tramadol and feeling that I have showers every 5 mins so the quilt is off on off on off on etc etc. My husband now has his own quilt. The final straw though is the creeping feeling that I get in my legs.

Everything hurts - almost.
There's been the Prednisolone rollercoaster - currently at 5mgs daily and of course the OTC's, paracetamol and ibuprofen - haven't tried
co
-
codamol
yet but will be asking for it to get a decent night's sleep. Fortunately, we have an adjustable bed so I sleep completely upright which does help.

Buccastem & Apixaban (my 2nd post this morning)
I asked the pharmacist for alternatives & she suggested Buccastem then
Co
-
codamol
once the nausea has passed. Trouble is I’m on Apixaban & would need a prescription for the Buccastem as it can reduce the efficacy of the Apixaban.

Possible Urinary Endometriosis
My pain meds weren’t up to standard either and I was given
Co
-
codamol
to help combat this. We then tried the injection and that really messed things up. At first things settled and for month I saw improvement on the regularity.
