Paracetamol and co-codamol

Also heard that co-codamol can make you feel groggy in the morning. Would love to hear from anyone as to exactly how many painkillers you take and when. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to answer cmjoyce

Non drowsy pain medication?

I've only tried ibuprofen, paracetemol, naproxen, codeine and co-codamol (over the counter strength) for pain relief and co-codamol works best to take the edge off. Unfortunately it makes me feel like a zombie (!)

Bowel trouble post laparoscopy.

Feeling rather tender from the procedure as you can imagine and have been given co-codamol as painkillers. However, this has of course effected my bowels and I’ve not been able to open them.

Unexplained Leg and Thigh Pain

I had quadrupled my normal 2 co-codamol tablets up to eight a day but they seemed to have little or no effect. On Monday morning I gave in and rang the doctors and had an appointment the same morning.

Alternative to naproxen

After going for my six monthly checkup with the RA specialist, she has suggested I stop naproxen and switch to co-codamol, which I reluctant to do. Has any one been in the same situation, and been prescribed an alternative anti inflammatory? Chris_0

Zapain and Paracetamol

I understand that Zapain is a generic, has anyone found it inferior to the Co-Codamol. Thank you to everyone who replies, this site is so helpful with amazing people who understand.

Been on B12 injections for nearly two years yet have the most awful flare up.

I have had to resort to morphine patches and co-codamol to try and kill the pain. This is seriously painful to say the least and the toes on my right foot have a bluish tinge !

Are my expectations too high?

I am now taking all four plus co codamol and naproxen occasionally. I would have expected to be able to function but my hands are still very stiff and painful and am very fatigued. I have had to give up my job because I can no longer meet the demands.

Doctor said to increase Prednisolone by 5mg and prescribed co-codamol which haven’t helped at all. Is this my first flare and have I got away lightly until now? Grateful for any advice please.
