Ambroxol: Experimental treatment for PD
Does anyone know anything about the
clinical
trials
going on in the UK with Ambroxol as a treatment for PD (a repurposed cough medicine)? The preliminary results look good. I understand that results have been released but I can't find It. Please reply if you have info. Thanks

Melatonin stirs up Tinnitus
All the literature nearly universally says that melatonin is good for tinnitus based on
clinical
trials
and personal experiences Tinnitus UK is not particularly supportive of melatonin I must be an outlier as melatonin really stirs my tinnitus up Just wondering if anyone else considers melatonin

Pirtobrutinib approved by my insurance company
On my last visit to Upenn, my blood counts were significantly higher and after 4 years on Calquence, it has stopped working. My specialist was hoping I’d make it thru January 2024 when they expect Pirto to approved for CLL, but that’s not likely. I reached out to see if I qualified for Pirto under

Update on Failing Calquence-Pirtobrutinib Next
My questions are for those in
clinical
trials
for pirtobrutinib. Any feedback is much appreciated as this will be my 5th treatment regimen and I’m a little anxious. How did they start the dosing, ramp up or full dose to start and where, at home or hospital?

Unsupportive partner issues??
Has anyone had any issues with their partner not believing you have an illness so you feel like you can’t go to them when you’re struggling? My bf says he doesnt believe in labels and in his eyes anxiety is something we just overcome. I was diagnosed with severe GAD and even noticed I didn’t feel sad

Sertraline - interactions with thyroid meds?
I’m trying to find out why my FT3 levels have risen alarmingly. This morning, I posted asking whether anyone had any experience of Candersartan affecting FT3. I’ve had two meds added during a recent hospital admission. The first was Candersartan and the second was Sertraline. I stopped the Sertraline

Common drug restores youthful function to clean up aging brains
A drug used to induce labor in pregnant women has been shown to reactivate tiny waste-clearing pumps in the brains of old mice.
The finding could hold promise as a new way to fight Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases and overall cognitive decline.

I'm supposed to be better than this.
I'm in a helping profession. I have a lot of empathy, and what I think is a big heart. I'm a huge softy and I just recently got in to this profession. Some days I have such pride about what I do but other days, like today, I'm so ashamed. I'm 100% supposed to be better than who I am. This is the first
