My partner has been diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer and has liver cirrhosis child b, doctors say it's inoperable and chemo not an option, my partner has also suffered from undiagnosed cdiff for 8 months so is weak and lost lot of muscle mass. But nobody has mentioned immunotherapy to us and I don't know how to ask oncologist if it's an option or clinical trial
Does anyone know about immunotherapy? - Colon Cancer Conn...
Does anyone know about immunotherapy?
I know they're using Fenbendazole in cancer trials. A friend of mine had 8 colonoscopies and pre cancer cells every time (her mom died of colon cancer )until she went on that. The 9th one came back normal. Milk thistle is known to rebuild the liver. I personally feel the liver is most important to fight anything off so I take any and all vitamins and supplements that support it, first.
Hi 123toyouto,
Thanks for posting here on Colon Cancer Connected. I hate to hear you're having to go through all this. My clinical trial involved immunotherapy. I know in cancer treatments things are getting very specific and targeted. I would definitely ask about it in your case. I am not sure if what you're dealing with would actually qualify for an immunotherapy treatment. I do know that it's worth asking.
There are some other places you could seek answers from. If you don't feel they are doing all they could be doing where you currently are and would like to get a 2nd or 3rd opinion, I would definitely check out one of these listed below.
I do wish you all the best in finding a solution that will benefit you. I know with all the genetic testing that is available, treatments are becoming very targeted. If it wasn't brought up as a possible solution, I would definitely ask. Maybe there's a clinical trial you can participate in?
Please let us know what you find out. The type of information that can be helpful to others on this site as well.
Thank you,

Hiya,
Wishing you both courage, patience and energy. My partner also has bowel cancer and has been told the treatment isn't curative.
Which type does your partner have? I believe the 'cancer' immunotherapy is only available to those with genetic bowel cancer (which is rarer).
There are other types of immunotherapies which are alternative to what is classified 'immunotherapy' in the Oncology world such as enhanced cell therapies (dendritic, autologous cell therapies etc.) which are known to be beneficial but they aren't offered in the UK, you will need to look at Germany, Eastern Europe, US or Japan (and probably some other countries I'm not aware of)
