afib and chest infection
hi. My afib has been steady for around 3 months (ie no episodes). My HR runs around 52-60. I’ve started with a chest infection yesterday (can remember feeling like this for a long time) I checked my afib via Apple Watch and although it says I’m in sinus rhythm my HR is low to mid 90’s. Could this

Hey all, been really struggling with stress and anxiety since being diagnosed with afib 1 year ago. I'm dizzy and lightheaded every day, crying all the time, thinking about my children losing there father. So I am tempted to try medication for it. I am currently on perindopril (hypertension) and apixaban

Asking for words of support please
Hi, next week I have a VA eval for PTSD/ Depression increase. I know it’s God’s will whatever the decision, but it causes anxiety, esp. when the person evaluating has no idea of my daily battle with depression/ anxiety. Also, a lot of self blaming/ feeling ashamed. Thank you for listening. Hope you

residential advice for anxiety, trauma, ocd but no substance abuse
Seeking a place for 22 year old daughter. Deciding between different places, but OCDI Texas one of them. She also has trauma, body dysmorphia and depressed a bit. Recent dx of OCD, actually. We always treated the anxiety, so not sure if her OCD is bad enough. (We live near Boston so we know McLean).

Resveratrol and ET
However I have read that several
clinical
trials
prove reduced platelet levels can be achieved with low dose Hydrea in combination with Resveratrol. My haematologist claims not to have heard of it but I spelled it out for her and she’s going to look into it!

Flecainide Worries
I have Afib and my cardiologist wants to start me on Flecainide. I’m terrified to take it after reading all the side affects. I’m in 180mg if Diltiazam and 5mg of Lexapro. I read where both of these have serious side effects when taken with Flecainide. My cardiologist has scheduled a stress test to

Afib medication
just spoken to a heart consultant first appointment. He has took me of bisporpol as heart rate still to high 180 bpm especially when I’m a sleep while in AFib. but I mentioned when I go back into normal sinus rhythm my pulse crashes to 30 beats per minute which makes me poorly in a way that I’m nearly

Atrial tachycardia and PAC burden and urgency of ablation question
So I finally found the report from my 14 day holter monitor and it showed a PAC burden of 4% and 141 episodes of atrial tachycardia originating from the pulmonary vein and the longest stretch being 30 beats (I guess that is what the EP meant when he said i was having mini afib episodes, maybe he was

Should have learned my lesson.
After my last ablation in December 2022, I had one afib episode 8 months later triggered by a hornet sting. After reading so many posts here about the dangers of food preservatives and eating too close to bedtime, I binged on snacks and pastries yesterday too far into the evening, and woke at 3:30 a.m

What to expect after stopping bisoprolol?
Hello. After a meet up with cardiologist, I was advised to stop the bisoprolol 1,25mg which I take daily. The reason I did a meet up is my daily anxiety, bradycardia (40s in rest) and dizziness. I need to continue with propafenone (anti arrhythmic) and currently waiting for an ablation date. My blood

Updates on AF meds
Hello. Had appointment with AF specialist yesterday at Berks Cardiology. Everything went well. He explained everything in detail of my options, and basically said it's my choice to do whatever I wanted. I told him I wanted to exercise again at the gym, he said I could do whatever I wanted to do, but

1st question re cardioversion
Hello everyone - I'm 68 and have had AF for about 2 years. Apart from a brief conversation re cardioversion and ablation when I was 1st diagnosed, none of the cardiologists I have seen have suggested that I should have cardioversion. I am currently taking 10mg of Bisoprolol a day in two 5mg tablets,

what do you do when you want to get a grip instead of crying all the time?
last week and today were very hard for me. I’m living with my ex and he started dating someone. It’s a very complicated situation where I feel paralyzed and can’t seem to find the strength to move out. Depression seems to hold me back plus the newly breakup. Any advise on how to come out of this?

Endurance sport and Afib
Hi All, I am new to the group. Some very good posts with lots of living experiences with AFib. I was diagnosed with AFib approximately 3 years ago but suspect I had it a lot longer not knowing the symptoms putting it down to fatigue. It was an Apple Watch that alerted me to AFib and after a hospital

Waiting for ablation
I started in Afib June 2022 after covid, was diagnosed in August and put on Edoxaban and bisoprolol by my GP. In October I was seen by a specialist and put on Amiodarone (I've mentioned the side effects before.. thanks for the responses) and put on the waiting list for a cardioversion. That was done
