Hi All, I have been part of this great group for the last year or so, and although I wish none of us were here, I’m glad to have found an online community that shares the same concerns as myself. I’m 37 years old now and I was diagnosed with ET in 2009 when I was 24, so it was kind of a shock, but

Cardioversion NHS waiting time.
Newbie here. Persistent AFib for 3m. Echocardiogram done. Cardioversion likely to be recommended. Wondered what waiting times people were experiencing? Thanks for any contributions.

Arrhythmia after open heart surgery - any others with similiar experiences?
Hi there, I'm new to this forum and looking forward to learning from you all. 8 weeks ago I had open heart surgey to correct a large atrial septal defect (hole in the heart). It was diagnosed at Christmas. Prior to this I had no cardiac symptoms at all - I was power lifting in the gym, cycling a 20km

Switching depression meds?
How to make it easier when switching depression medication so your partner and coworkers don't think you're crazy? I was on Lexapro and it made me manic, I've been weaning off and I now feel like a zombie who wants to cry all the time. My doctor wants me to start a mood stabilizer but I don't want my

Amiodarone
I just wanted to clear up such negative responses to amiodarone. What is the mortality rate for amiodarone? In unadjusted analysis, amiodarone recipients had a slightly higher risk of death compared to non-recipients in the full cohort (87 vs 73 deaths per 1,000 person-years; P<0.001) but not in the

Very happy to hit 2 year mark from last AFIB incident. I was 48 when I had my first episode which terrified me, and the second episode was 9 months later. Both resolved on their own. I started working on lifestyle changes from the first incident. I focused on dropping milk from my diet and keeping

Broccoli Sprout Beverage can clear Acrolein
I am doing a deep dive on the benefits of Broccoli Sprouts and/or Sulforaphane. There seem to be a lot of benefits, so I am posting on them one benefit at a time. As I post more information, I will add the new information to a master document on Broccoli Sprouts - Sulforaphane so we end up with a cohesive

AFib and Blood Pressure
Is there a correlation or causation or no link between Afib and high blood pressure? I had sudden occurrence of persistent AF and high BP. My BP had always been well within the normal range. Thank you for any info you can provide. I know it will be thoughtful and I understand you are not physicians

Update having seen rheumatologist today
That he is keen on
clinical
trials
that will help research generally - not sure how much how it affects me counts but benefit of the doubt and all that, I will give the trial a fair hearing.

Too much to take in!
A lot going on with no answers. Firstly having been diagnosed with AF in May, I had my fourth episode whilst in France a couple of weeks ago. Previous to that I was asked whether I would take part in the DOCCLA system which is an extension of a hospital ward apparently where they monitor you at home

Newly diagnosed AFib 40 year old
Hello everyone, last week I was diagnosed with persistent afib with lbbb and I'm terrified. I've been discharged with a bag of meds (bisoprolol, flecanide and rivaroxaban) and on the list for an ablation. I haven't been given much info and investigated everything myself. I just feel utterly depressed

ACCELERATED MIGRATION AND INVASION OF PROSTATE CANCER CELLS AFTER A PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY-LIKE CHALLENGE: ROLE OF NITRIC OXIDE
At least two such inhibitors have the advantage of having already been tested in

Off pristiq
I took my last dose of pristiq on Tuesday. I have been a guinea pig for snri's since September. My psychiatrist wants me to washout until Tuesday and then start me on an ssri. I suggested Prozac because it worked wonderfully in the past. I have been so depressed for so long I am having a real hard time

my anxiety is consuming me
hi all. New to these type of groups but think sharing might help me. It’s a long story but I’ve had anxiety for 10+ years now and have been on Sertraline since then. I’ve had intermittent panic attacks over the years but nothing like what I’ve been experiencing lately. This trigger event started almost
