Pelvic MRI on Thursday at MDA
I struggle with
claustrophobia
issues along with carrying bad memories of the way my original urologist worked me over with the “device”. Any tips, advice, or suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks OC

What do you expect when you spend most of your time beating yourself up?
Suddenly you experience health or social anxiety, derealisation, agoraphobia, depersonalisation, panic attacks or
claustrophobia
. You frighten yourself half to death worrying about it and then follow your instincts and start fighting it.

Control of Panic
trouble with panic and have not become panic free (not surprising since only 17% of people treated with CBT become panic free; see light gray bars in the graph; that's CBT only; dark gray is CBT and meds) find my book on Amazon; the title is "Panic Free: The 10-Day Program to End Panic, Anxiety and

help! why am i feeling drunk, like i'm on drugs, shaky, stiff neck! 175mg
i started having panic attacks, feeling anxious,
claustrophobia
, vision like a drunk person, slow eyes, spaced out, drugged up feeling. i actually thought i was going mad. through the tears i googled and found out that it could be the levothyroxine, not multiple sclerosis!

Strange symptom
Since I started having panic attacks, I've found that I've developed a
claustrophobia
of sorts. One odd thing about it is that I can't stand to feel my clothes/bra constricting me. I wear extra baggy clothes as much as possible.

Sleep Study
Although I hate the idea of a CPAP machine because of my
claustrophobia
, I’ve agreed to a trial. I need to be brave and give it a go. My mum has severe sleep apnea and has dementia. I don’t want that to be me in 20 years.

Another MRI was needed to see if the swelling had in fact gone down and I was not able to do it due to
claustrophobia
. The moment I was inside I started to panic and had to be taken out.

I have so many different and complex medical problems, as one of my specialists calls me "you are a one off!"
[stroke, oesteoarthritis, shingles, pancreatitis,
claustrophobia
, prolapsed discs, etc, etc, ......]. Healthunlocked gives me some relief in passing my many experiences over many years, to give some relief to many people in a similar state of woe?

Due to my wife's
claustrophobia
it was thought that to get round the normal MRI an open MRI would solve the problem but know the health authority would not pay for it to be done, so it was left to my wife have a general to put her out which could only be sanctioned by a consultant.

Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis, probable ARDS and SEVERE anxiety
She has
claustrophobia
and this was so isolating from her. Mum has control issues and ahe was extremely demanding towards staff. I am an ITU nurse myself, and levels of anxiety that my Mum displayed in this first week were beyond anything I have ever seen myself.

Anxiety with Claustrophobia
After developing multiple sclerosis and having my 1st brain MRI, I developed full-blown
claustrophobia
. My world seems to be getting smaller and smaller as I recently began experiencing panic attacks in public. Standing in lines makes me feel light-headed.

I did not realize that during the years I was taking it, the anxiety I had always had as an adolescent, the Clinical depression in my senior year at Berkeley w/ severe panic attacks,
claustrophobia
