Claustrophobia and CBT
Hi everyone, Could anyone recommend a really good Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) book or any online CBT content/courses related to
claustrophobia
and MRIs? I need to have a cardiac MRI and I suffer from
claustrophobia
(which has prevented me from completing standard MRIs in the past).

Dealing with fear? Just a response.
Have you observed that those who have
claustrophobia
or aerophobia if they could somehow fall asleep in a confined place or flying object, and wake up to meet the reality of the non-existence of their fear?

Can you have treatment for Claustrophobia via NHS or is put down as expensive private treatment which I would have to pay for myself!
I have
claustrophobia
and have had it since I was a child buried in a sand dune, I have told various GP's over the years, [nothing?]. I am 65, near retirement, living alone and adapting my house as 'open plan' as possible!

I have no incentive left, petrified when wake up, morning ALWAYS 8/10 pain ratio, I live by myself, epilepsy seizures usually morning...
My will to live is getting less each day, boring routine, I have
claustrophobia
, not a good mixture! I NEED TO GET OUT!!! I am developing dementia, my object for today, same as yesterday, etc, etc.

Myocardial Profusion Scan
I have always had really bad
claustrophobia
. But it was a CT not an MRI, and with exception to the last part of the scan my head wasn’t covered. The last part was so brief I closed my eyes and got through that. I was at the hospital for approximately 2.5-3 hours as expected.

Phobias
Social, heights,
claustrophobia
, drowning, embarrassment, etc. I got the impression that many people with ADHD were impulsive and brave. I don't think I can relate to the brave part. Is this a "normal" part of ADHD? Can anyone relate?

Looks like I'm scheduled for the Moderna Vaccine tomorrow.
Will it stop my crippling
claustrophobia
? Here's another thought. Do you guys recommend any particular apps I can download on my phone so I can mine bitcoin with my body heat after the government injects me with a tracking chip? Come on Nalakrats and Tall Allen, you guys are the gurus here.

Cardiac MRI ?
Thing is I suffer from
claustrophobia
and it would be very difficult for me to get into one of those closed MRI scans. My anxiety has rocketed since yesterday just at the thought of it and frankly last night was quite bad with my PVCs. I have only slept a few hours and feel very tired today.

MRI/PET SCAN HELP!
I'm actually quite angry because we communicated her
claustrophobia
/anxiety to the oncologist and her staff, as well as indicated Yes on the form at the imaging center. I don't feel like we were heard AT ALL and now mom went thru a trauma that was completely unnecessary.

AS Questions
The Rheumatologist sent me off for an MRI which I just couldn’t hack due to
claustrophobia
, so was referred back for a CT scan on my lower back, which I dutifully attended and then nothing, no contact, and a year offer the diagnosis I’m stuck with no clue where to go but I have a whole load of stuff

Sorry, last post for a while
If you think about it, this is sort of like inviting members of the
Claustrophobia
Sufferers Unite group to a spelunking party. Okay, that's it for posts for a while. Thanks for your patience.
