Oromorph

I am 60 years old and diagnosed with persistent Afib this past November. Probably had it more than a year prior as it is asymptomatic being the type with irregular rhythm with my resting heart rate at 50-60 bpm. Went on Eliquis and have been cardioverted three times- first with no meds and NSF only

VitD, Mg, CoQ10 make a difference? and Cardiologist update
it’s been 8 months since CV and all good at my appointment, he said my reduction of metoprolol to 8.5mg is very low but still might be enough to reduce that adrenaline when my heart wants to play up during exercise or when I’m under stress, so I will stay on it and might even reduce or stop the morning

I'm 85 and have suffered with AF as long as I can remember. I recall worrying about my heart missing beats and thinking the worst. Specialist doctors tried Flecanide and Sotolol which helped by limiting my episodes paroxysmally but I was still aware of AF when playing tennis and golf. My doctor got permission

Cardioversion NHS waiting time.
Newbie here. Persistent AFib for 3m. Echocardiogram done. Cardioversion likely to be recommended. Wondered what waiting times people were experiencing? Thanks for any contributions.

Arrhythmia after open heart surgery - any others with similiar experiences?
Hi there, I'm new to this forum and looking forward to learning from you all. 8 weeks ago I had open heart surgey to correct a large atrial septal defect (hole in the heart). It was diagnosed at Christmas. Prior to this I had no cardiac symptoms at all - I was power lifting in the gym, cycling a 20km

Angiogram
Hi I have AF no other indicators no chest pain ,angina. No heart attack. Only breathless walking up stairs, never on the flat. Anyone had a diagnostic angiogram as part of their pathway.

Post DC Cardioversion advice
My husband has had AF jumpy heart rhythm for years and has meds for slightly high BP - Bisoprolol and Ramipril, but has been getting a bit tired and breathless on exertion. So he had DC Cardioversion yesterday and is in sinus. But his resting heart rate is hovering around 50 and if he does anything

Amiodarone
I just wanted to clear up such negative responses to amiodarone. What is the mortality rate for amiodarone? In unadjusted analysis, amiodarone recipients had a slightly higher risk of death compared to non-recipients in the full cohort (87 vs 73 deaths per 1,000 person-years; P<0.001) but not in the

I'm now trying Spironolactone (water tablet). 3 weeks in & I'm getting more weary, confused, balance off & bowels

I would like to know if i can take Benadryl (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) for sleep if i have
CKD
stage 3B? The research on this is very confusing. Some sites say it's OK; others say it's bad. Any other suggestions for sleep aids?

Working out after AFIB
I saw my EP for a 90 day check up post ablation a few weeks ago. One of my questions was when can I resume more intense cardio workouts? I'm back to weight training, yoga, walking and rowing (on machine), but am nervous about getting my heart rate too high. My history: 3 (that I knew of) episodes

cbd interaction with levothyroxine
this is very worrying. I’m sure I’m suffering from the interaction between cbd patches and levothyroxine that I was totally unaware of. Knowing that both levothyroxine and CBD oil serve the same purpose, which is treating hypothyroidism, you may wonder if it’s appropriate to use both forms of medication

A quick update
I keep telling them I am dog tired and fed up with this
ckd
but it falls on deaf ears - I don't think it is suitable for me - unless they come up with a miracle cure - they just made me feel even worse.

High diastolic blood p Niraparib
Hi, Blood pressure going up again on Niraparib, but it does just seem to be the bottom number, the diastolic. Has anybody got any success stories of sorting this bit with meds? Had bad reaction to calcium channel blocker. Currently taking Candesartan, though wanting to increase dose but not been on
