I've started taking hemp cbd capsules, 50mg, they ate great for relaxing your muscles, good sleep, and in turn ease pain, they are expensive but worth every penny.i got them from Holland and Barretts, £70 for 30 capsules, but at minute if you buy 1 you get second half price

As a CBD user of 4 years, I'm pleased you're also finding it helpful. I don't know how often you're taking 50mg capsules, but that's quite a price to pay. CBD oil, which is also derived from hemp can be a much cheaper way to try, & the oil is better absorbed than capsules (& there are cheaper places to buy capsules from online rather than H & B).

I don't know if you're aware that that CBD is broken down by the same liver enzymes that break down over 90% of prescribed meds, so you should discuss this with your pharmacist/GP prior to taking this. If you do take such meds, then for safety, a 4 hour gap is recommended between taking these & CBD.

Hi there - I’m on tramadol but you are correct in stating CBD oil can lessen Tramadol’s effects when taken in large doses. Many drugs are being broken down by enzymes in the liver; CBD may compete with these enzymes. This interference can lead to buildups of the other substance or not enough effects of the drug in the body. This drug interaction is called the altered concentration.

The altered concentration may cause an increased risk of side effects — or may cause a drug to not work. Oftentimes, this kind of drug interaction is hard to predict but it can cause discomfort or even serious health problems.

Hi Meditationlover,

I too found the CBD capsules very effective at just 40mg but sadly my Gp advised to cut down as it was affecting my liver. When I went down to 20 or 30mg, they were not easing my pain any more. My GP was very good at monitoring my liver function while I was on the CBD caps. I’m sure you’ve researched well before starting to take yours. They were very expensive then but they can be effective if the liver can tolerate it.

Take care, 🌷🦋
