Needing Some Advice
Hi everyone, I am a 30yr old new Mommy to an 8month old baby boy. I've been battling with the doctors (and myself) for the last couple of months. In mid June I noticed my upper abdomen was painful to touch and I had some sharp pains in my abdomen so I booked an apt with my gyno. He sent me in for

Very late night
So I went to the Emergency room yesterday for a chest x-ray. That came back clear but they did see I tiny bit of fluid in the lining of the lung. So they ran more tests to rule out pnemonia or anything else. My husband was not happy it took untill 2 am this morning to get to come home. I feel bad for

One step forward one step back
I have been doing good. Getting better. I did a little quilting today and walked around the house. However, I had to sit often because of short of breath. I tried to fold laundry because I can sit on my tush to do it. That even made me winded. I also still have pain in my left lung. So I called my doctor

Hi, I am an old time poster
Hi, I was a member of the dilated cardiomyopathy forum at BHF. I signed up there 10 years ago when my mother was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and left bundle branch block. There used to be a thread called "how long?". I wanted to post this there, but here I am. So, my 65 year old mother suddenly

What else could it be
I am back again, still on 2.5 mg predict but have to increase it to 5 again . I get that it's inevitable to go 2 steps forward and one back and although dissapointed, after 2 years of this. I am used to it. What my disgruntled grouchy-ness (the only word I can find which aren't expletives ) is about today

Starting methotrexate question
Me again.... apologies for so many questions! I'm soon to start methotrexate, prescription being released once my chest X-ray and bloods have been checked, (after 13 years just on hydroxychloroquine). I'm currently trying to recover from quite a bad flare. I'm due to go abroad on holiday on 5th August

Pleural effusion - lung drain
My Mum has not had an easy time of it since her heart attack in March; triple heart bypass, cardiac tamponade, AF, low BP, haemotoma resulting in debridement and VAC. Further to her second discharge she became increasingly breathless, and she has just had almost a litre of fluid drained from her lung

Hi Everyone, I have recently been diagnosed with an ASD after ending up in hospital twice with AF symptoms and having all the tests (echocardiogram, Chest X-ray, cardiac CT scan and TOE).
