Hi I'm gonna sound crazy but here goes...i've been sick a lot in past few years Dr diagnosed me with fibromyalgia about 6 yrs ago I started seeing a pain management Dr and he was sure I didn't have fibromyalgia but a inflammatory disease because of the extreme about of inflamation I had and joint pain I stopped seeing him because his treatments were more pain then I could bare....now for the past 2 years I've been so sick with flu like symtoms low fever all the time extreme joint pain and inflamation. Past 6 months I've been sick every 4-6 weeks serverly sick i feel like am dying I sleep for days... so I'm currently sick went to my Dr. No flu, blood in urine had to breathe but Dr said chest sounds clear and oxygen level is good??? I know what I'm feeling why doesn't he understand I felt as if he thought I was exaggerating! Next day I woke up with a hard lump on the upper part of sternum had a chest x ray and tech said looks like soft tiusse and my Dr would call me within 2 hours....2 days later and I still don't know what's going on Dr office closed over weekend... forgot to mention Dr sent blood work out to see if I have a autoimmune disease...now waiting is the worst thing ever should I be worried about the lump??? One more thing I throw up almost every morning it's usually bile and foam and very bad stomach pain on and off through out the day but I have no bathroom issues! Sorry if this is a big run on sentence lol didnt wanna leave anything out. Thank you for you in put a head of time

Hi Jaijai,

Sorry for you feeling so horrible . I'm no expert of course , but simply sounds to me like you definitely need a second drs opinion. You have many symptoms , obviously something is going on , but don't stress , because it could be something that is easily treatable.

Get a second opinion and ask for a referral to a rheumatologist.

Take care

Karen

Hang in there JaiJai 💕 I completely agree with Karen, it definitely sounds like you need a second opinion and a referral to a rheumatologist. The stress from feeling badly and dealing with multiple issues is enough to make things even worse so as impossible as it sounds, try to reduce the stress as much as you can. Take notes and make lists of things you'd want to tell a doctor about how you're feeling and what's happening. Even things like the time of day a particular symptom occurs can end up being an important piece of information. Then make sure you have your notes with you when you see the doctor and rheumatologist. Sometimes I rewrite the notes the night before the appointment just to go over in my mind what I need to say. I often get in front of the doctor and forget everything if I don't make notes. Be good to yourself and take care! Let us know how you're doing.

Best ~

S

Take comfort in the fact that normally doctors do phone straight away if it's bad news, but if things are ok or minor then they often forget to tell you as for them it's no longer urgent....

inflammatory diseases do make you feel like shit, and exhausted, so this is a possible symptom. As others have said make sure you have a good record. Even if you blood tests are normal ask to be referred to a rheumatologist.

Regarding the stomach pain and throwing up--has your gall bladder been checked?

Keep yourself on top of your own health. If doctors don't call you then you call them. YOU KNOW your own body and YOU have a significant interest in your own well being so keep demanding answers. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
