I need help. I keep randomly waking up to the thought I'm going to pass out?! How is this normal
The last few weeks I have been suffering from really bad heart palpitations, my chest gets really tight and hurts a lot. Sometimes it will go down my arm. Lately I've been waking up in the middle of the night to my heart literally racing! I feel like I could pass out. It's so horrible I've had 3 ECGs

Seal cough on and off for a year now.
Hi. I'm 19 years old. I've been having this really deep cough(like a seal) when I cough it really hurts my chest. Almost like I'm having a heart attack. Also when I cough it hurts my back. I have a slite wheeze. I went to the doctor the other day and the doctor thought that I had a mild case of asthma

I have changed to a new hospital last summer as I was getting no where with my local hospital, plus they kept cancelling appointments as they had no staff. Happy with care I have got at new hospital and they have run several blood tests, I've had a chest X-ray and they have changed my meds. But they

Hi All Wonder if anyone can help or any advice! About 4 weeks ago I went to my GP as I started coughing for a week (after smoking way too much, changed my brand also). He put me on antibiotics, said I had pharyngitis and ordered a chest x-ray (just in case). My xray has come back normal. The cough

Advice for newbie please
I've just been diagnosed with paroxysmal AF and, with a very supportive GP, I'm starting on the road to find a treatment that suits me best. I've read a lot but would love some tips on questions I should really be asking. In hindsight I had probably had infrequent episodes of AF that just left me feeling

Misdiagnosis?
Hi there, I have been a member of the group for about 18 months, and find it very helpful. I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis in 2007, but don't seem to have the symptoms described by many others on this site...I have no cough, also very little phlegm, which I thought was one of the main symptoms. I smoked

Abatacept concerns
Some folk here may be familiar with my condition after reading my recent "Desperation boulavard" post, for those who aren't, here's a brief rundown.... I stopped taking all my RA immune suppressing meds back last March. The reason being that I get recurring UTIs, one of which led to me getting septic

So many questions-! Potential asthma diagonsis
3 years ago, I had some serious breathing problems and heart palpitations begin. They still occur today, sometimes more often than other times, but always with specific circumstances. A Chest X-Ray recently showed I have Air Trapping in my lungs, and an A&E visit saw my O2 levels briefly dropping to

Chest X ray
Ok folks why would you have a chest xray because you have asthma? I just had one as my asthma hasnt yet resolved and on third lot of rescue steriods. What are they looking for? Chest is still sore indicating airways still inflamed. Result in two days.
