Is Warfarin/blood-thinner given by GPs (in UK) for suspected Pulmonary Hypertension - or does it require Hospital scanning first?
My situation is, a recent Echocardiogram stated I have "intermediate probability of Pulmonary Hypertension". I had this scan done because I have persistent high systolic-BP (which averages in the 140-150 range). I don't really have any troublesome symptoms other than this high-BP. And the rest of

Hello everyone, I feel like a new member of a club that no one wants to be in but hey ho here we are. chest x ray
would a chest X-ray show signs of breast cancer? I had one recently, I had to stand bare against a panel for the X-ray to be taken and it came back all clear! This was for a different reason! But recently past few days I’ve had an on/off pain just outside my left armpit, now I’m not sure if this is the

Still testing positive after 10 weeks
Hello everyone. I need some help. My mum has CLL and had been on venetoclax + rituximab since November 2021 (rituximab suspended early due to lowered neutrophils). We had several mishaps (e.g. frequent diarrhoea) however she was quite well until she got on 16 May and she tested covid positive. She

Pain in back shoulder blade and clavicle
My husband was in such excruciating pain and frozen, I had to call 911 at 3am. ER ran all the tests, EMG, Chest X-ray, CT scan, blood and urine tests, nothing turned up. They sent him home with Vicodin as a muscle relaxant (which his neurologist promptly changed to an actual musical relaxant). He also

After a year or maybe a bit longer, another CT Scan update,
I have heart conditions, lung conditions, joint problems and cancer, So I would love an easy ride in life. Maybe 18 months or more I started a thread on CT scans, and did updates. It started with a COPD review nurse wanting me to have a chest X Ray which I did after Dr oked that. I had

Why !!!
My breathing has not been good lately, possibly because of a faulty inhaler, so I went for a COPD review . My peak flow was very low for me, 290 , so was given forms for blood tests and chest x ray. The next evening my breathing seemed worse as I was having difficulty drying myself after a shower. BUT

How do you guys accept your chest pains?
How do you guys just accept your chest pains? Had to go to urgent care again because my chest pains came back full force down into my arms. They’re like you’re chest X-ray and ekg are fine. But of course they had to tell me you’re overweight and have high blood pressure so you fall into risk categories

UPDATE on PMR coming back
I will try to make this as short as possible. I saw my pulmonologist on Thursday and then saw my rheumatologist on Friday. I felt like I was gaslighted by my pulmonologist who said I just needed to give myself more time to her over Covid. However after seeing my rheumatologist she apparently got with

Will Rheum send blood & xray results to me/my GP or do I have to wait until my next appointment with him
Hi all I’m really anxious to know if anything showed in the bloods I had taken immediately after seeing the rheumatologist. I’m also keen to know the hand, foot and chest X-ray outcome. I’m expecting my next rheum date will be sometime in Sept; at my first appointment in May the rheum said he’d review

Bloated decreased appetite
Hi, I have no formal diagnosis but a recent chest X ray showed hyperinflated lungs and I am waiting for a spirometry test to see if this is COPD. However, as well as the breathlessness, I am experiencing a constant 'fullness' in the chest, a bloatedness and my appetite has decreased. I have lost

I can’t keep living like this
I’m trying my best to try and be positive but the constant anxiety and depression worrying that I’m dying or had a heart attack panic attacks it’s exhausting why did I let myself get this bad. Why have I let this go on for 4 months and continue to get worse through those months. I’m actually trying to
