So I read somewhere after googling can cancer be detected on regular CMP panel because I had a CMP panel in October 2021 (normal) and then X-rays in January 2022 (also normal). I had a chest X-ray, lumbar spine X-ray because I fell in my house and feared a broken bone. All clear. Neither blood work or

Endo or not
Approx April 2021 I took a dull pain my lower left hip. Didn’t think much of it until it became the hip and buttock area sometimes coming up the lower back and down the leg and wouldn’t go away no matter what. Over the past two years this pain has never gone away and with it I get flare ups of extreme

Heart failure
I had a P and A in 2021 to stabilise my fast heart rate in Permanent AF. Although still in AF, I thought that was my heart sorted. Last year I had pneumonia and then at Christmas another chest infection, that has taken until now to sort out. As I am still breathless and very fatigued, I had a chest

repeated upper respiratory viral infections
my daughter (12) has asthma and also dysfunctional breathing so it can be hard to know which one is causing her breathing difficulties at any point. When well she has breathing episodes/ difficulties approx 3 times a week brought on by exercise or changes in the air eg smoke, dust, temperature. Sometimes

Two days later we had to take her to A and E as she was suffering from chest pains and her heart was racing. In A and E she tested positive for flu and her Troponin levels were

Hi all, I am really concerned about my husband who has Stage 4, Gleason 9 PC. He had his last chemotherapy round at the beginning of December and will start radiotherapy beginning of February but I am really concerned about his chest. He has had 4 courses of antibiotics and a course of steroids, prednisolone

Update on progress with MF and the FEDORA clinical trial
So to recap, I was diagnosed with primary MF in October 2022 and asked to join a new clinical trial called FEDORA. After many tests including a BMB, ultrasound on my abdomen, chest X-ray etc. I started on the pre medication of 400mg/day (in one dose) of Fedratinib in capsule form. This was the first

Continuous never ending onslaught - still trying to be happy happy positive but 🤷♀️
Been sick this time for 9 months, 2cardioversions, 3rd ablation 5wks ago. Had a few complications and still have the asthma I left hospital with. Until yesterday I’d been NSR but the asthma is not letting up. The inhalers, steroids etc have put the heart rate up to continuous 100-117 which is now exhausting

Pneumonia update
So have been on antibiotics for two weeks and have been resting...as best I can. At weekend I felt worse again. Had a routine rheumy appointment Monday morning. (New consultant, not been seen by any consultant in 18mths ish). He obviously knew I'd had problems, first he says you don't look very well

It Never Rains
What an absolute few months I've had. Have been on a constant heavy period, where I'm losing blood clots for the past 5 months, plus having really bad issues with breathing, which added to all my comorbidities is an absolute bugger. Due for a chest x-ray and an ultrasound this week. Then to top it all

pramipexole (containing Dopamine), can it contribute to heart regurgitation?
I recently had an echocardiogram after chest x-ray for breathlessness and it was thought to show an enlarged heart , but later found it wasn’t, hence the ecg. It has shown that I have some regurgitation which GP said nothing to worry about but I have read that Dopamine can be a cause of this. Can anyone

Finally got to see rheumatologist on 8 Dec for the urgent appointment requested by my GP in June (!) He took a detailed history and did a thorough examination (I didn’t realize how much everything was hurting until he prodded all the muscles round my joints - been quite sore since.) His conclusion
