No Antibodies shown after taking the Moderna Vaccine
I am new to CLL only a year on W&W. My Lymphs are #10.26 and % is 69.7. WBC is 14.73. I had the Moderna vaccine in Feb and March. Just had an antibody test and the result was negative - no antibodies. To say the least I am heartbroken and disappointed. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I should

It’s official Study shows T cells are activated against Covid after vaccination
Just heard on the Irish Radio from Professor Luke O’Neill, a super immunologist in Trinity College Dublin, results of a study on Leukemia patients show T Cells show response to the vaccine. Sorry I can’t remember the name of the study he mentioned . Great news he thought. It’s nature.com and Eureka

Husband Update
It seems like so long since I’ve updated, but it’s been only a few months. Husband is doing… ok. We’ve just received news that they've found a donor for his stem cell transplant and is scheduled to be admitted at the end of next month. It’s all become very, very real. The kids and I won’t be able

First results of a head-to-head trial of acalabrutinib versus ibrutinib in previously treated chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Background: Increased selectivity of the Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitor (BTKi) acalabrutinib (Aca) vs ibrutinib (Ib) may improve tolerability. We conducted an open-label, randomized, noninferiority, phase 3 trial to compare Aca vs Ib in patients (pts) with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Methods

CLL: from molecular pathogenesis to novel therapeutic strategies
September 2020 An interesting paper "CLL is a well-defined lymphoid neoplasm with very heterogeneous biological and clinical behavior. The last decade has been remarkably fruitful in novel findings elucidating multiple aspects of the pathogenesis of the disease. These include mechanisms of genetic susceptibility

16dp5dt Brown bleeding for 48 hours but lines still dark
I don’t know what is going on. I bled brown blood from 13dp5dt until 15dp5dt and also had cramping. It felt just like a period. Woke up today 16dp5dt so convinced it was over. Did a test on the off chance and there seems to be slight progression. Could this be an ectopic? Could I have miscarried but

The Lambda variant is now in 29 countries, but what evidence do we have that it’s more dangerous?
...........................................A variant of interest is one that has mutations that are predicted or known to affect things such as transmissibility (how easily the virus spreads), severity of disease, ability to evade immunity from past infections or vaccines, or confound diagnostic tests

Scan at 4 weeks 3 days pregnant 13dp5dt after FET Has anyone had a scan that early?
Hi all, had my appointment today at my regular baby doctor. They did a scan but didn't see a definite sac. They saw a small dot that could be a sac. They said everything looks good but I don't have my hCG numbers in yet. I've had BFP tests all week. Has anyone had a scan at 4 weeks and saw nothing but

Low beta hcg but doubling?
So I just got my second beta results: 11dp5dt- 21.2 13dp5dt - 49.8 It has doubled but still extremely low. Also having brown spotting the last 24 hours. Does this seem like it will be viable? Please be honest, I’m prepared for the worst. Had a chemical before and beta never doubled like this, stayed

Faint positive HPT
Hi, We had a fresh 5dt and at 12dpt we got a faint bfp, tested again on day 14pt and 16pt and still getting a faint line but think its looking darker than before. I am on 400mg cyclogest and no period, was due 2 weeks ago. Has anyone had this, could it be low HCG?

Cyclogest after fresh transfer - how much / how long for?
Hey everyone, I’m currently 7wks pregnant (much to my surprise, after a rocky start) from a fresh IVF cycle. My clinic in Denmark advise to stop cyclogest after a positive pregnancy test and let the body take over, but I was uncomfortable with that so I’ve continued with 400mg three times a day (vaginally

Captivate Trial MRD status
I've been part of the CAPTIVATE trial since 2018. My treatment ended in May 2019....Ibrutinib for 12 months and Venetoclax for 9. I just received several test results including Flow Citometry and I am still MRD negative after 2 years. This trial was simply awesome and a life saver. I was originally
