I’m 67 and about 2 years ago was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis with no real symptoms it was picked up with a routine blood test. Still in a bit of shock even now. I have avoided google and the like. Stem cell replacement had been ruled out I guess because of my age. But I can’t except that there is no

Vaccinate or not?
I have just spoken with my haematologists office and asked what is recommended for those taking Hydroxy etc. We are advised to have a vaccination, it doesn't matter which one. If you have Aplastic Anemia then he would speak with you first. So pleased I've been given the go ahead!

Scottish Medicines Agency has decided in favour of Venetoclax plus Obintuzumab for some patients.
The SMC has accepted venetoclax in combination with obinutuzumab for use in certain patients. There is a restriction that means that venetoclax may be used together with obinutuzumab as a fixed term treatment in two subgroups of patients with CLL who have not yet had any treatment for their CLL: - patients

Beta HCG blood reading 8dp5dt ... ok?
Hi ladies Hope you are all doing well on your journey. I had my beta bloods taken yesterday 8dp5dt and they are 136. Does this sound ok? Anyone have readings similar? I am aware its the doubling rate that holds the most value so my next one is tomorrow. Thanks x

1:10 chance of Downs Syndrome
Edit: I just wanted to update with my nipt results, they have come back as low risk for Downs Syndrome. It's such a relief to finally have the results as the waiting was very stressful! Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond, reassure me and share experiences, I really appreciate it! Hi,

While I was having my transfusion today I overheard a nurse telling a patient that if they were on any type of immunosuppressive treatment that that should be discontinued before receiving covid vaccine. I am taking 20mg Ruxolitinib twice daily and have a consistently low white count with neutrophils

Surviving Covid
Hi everyone. I have PV and early MF. I take Ruxolitinib . I am 44. I have shielded as many of us have. As a family with 3 children, we have been very careful to avoid places and people but yet contracted Covid the week before Christmas.
