Hi all, had my appointment today at my regular baby doctor. They did a scan but didn't see a definite sac. They saw a small dot that could be a sac. They said everything looks good but I don't have my hCG numbers in yet. I've had BFP tests all week.

Has anyone had a scan at 4 weeks and saw nothing but it later turned out okay? Or let me know if you did see something. So nervous!

Hi Ell, I had a scan this early because I had symptoms of an ectopic. Unfortunately they didn't see anything because it was an ectopic... Anyway, at the beginning they said it could be normal because my beta levels were below 1,000.So, if they saw something at 4+3 it's a really good sign!

Thank you! Sorry about your ectopic.

Thank you... it's been really tough to go through, it was my only embryo from my second IVF round. But my third round has been the lucky one :) Good luck, and keep us posted!

Hello, it’s really early to scan at this stage. I had v. early scans too from 5 weeks onwards, but they didn’t show anything and just made me more upset! I know it’s tough but try not to worry, wait for the HCG results and see what the scan is showing at c. 7 or 8 weeks. I eventually saw an embryo and heartbeat at 8 weeks and I’m 37 weeks now. Best of luck, I really hope it all works out 💖

I had a scan at 6 weeks and they saw a heartbeat. 6 weeks is two weeks after the first 14 days of transfer. anything earlier than that might not be seen in an ultrasound. I will say try to relax about enjoy being pregnant. Ectopic are not also that common with IVF because the embryo is put in the right place from start.

They mainly did the scan to see if my lining was thick enough. Which it was, so I guess I should be happy about that and not stress so much.

I'd say that's way too early to know anything. So many pregnancies end at 4 or 5 weeks, most of these pregnancies wouldn't even be detected by the majority of women. So even if there is something... Its too early to tell if it'll go any further. 6 weeks is the earliest you can really tell. Although realistically heartbeats are seen closer to 7 weeks. Good luck, I hope it ends up good news for you xx

I had a scan at 4+5 and they saw one sac, my HCG levels were really high though. A week later I went back and a second sac appeared. I didn’t see the heartbeats until 5+6 which was still very early but again, my HCG levels were very high so that’s probably why.

Sending you lots of luck 🍀 xx
