Pain means something IS wrong!!!
In my own experience, if something is painful there is generally a good reason. After only running W1R1, my knee started hurting, almost 2 weeks later, not much better. No use going to see my GP, as I know I would be told to take pain killers and anti-inflammatory tablets and maybe given a Cortisone

Injuries are NOT always what they seem!
After W1 R1, I was elated but the following day a knee problem, all brought on by wearing incorrect footwear but you live and learn. Cutting a very long story short, went to see my chiropractor this morning and it is all related to my SI joint, in my lower back, which is causing referred pain. Ouch

After my ranting and raving on my previous Blog today, "Bitter disappointment!" I've got over it, all helped by getting my new Reebok's, headphones and fist water bottle through the post today. They say ignorance is bliss but I thought the small blue buttons on the side were just for show, now realise

Bitter disappointment!
Been having slight pain in my knee but have been rubbing Biofreeze into it and occasionally taking Naproxen. So looked forward to this morning, W1 R3. Heavy rain and after some cynical but well meaning comment from my partner about me slipping over in the mud, I thought just for today I would do

can't sleep!! feet are burning
As tired as I am, sleep has evaded me for the past 4 hours. I've tried meditating and listening to relaxing music to combat the tinnitus, but I'm wide awake. My feet have a burning type sensation that is pretty painful and keeping me awake, this happened last night too but I managed to fall asleep.

Sharing the experience!
Being only 25 and suffering with Fibromyalgia for the last 4 years sometimes i feel my life has been cut short. I used to love going out drinking with friends and going to gigs and rock festivals. I lost count of how many times iv had to sleep at train stations in the cold after missing the last train

A little bit of hope perhaps
Chiropractic
/osteopathy might have benefits. Mum also receives regular (free) Reiki treatments...there are plenty of people offering their services free these days on the internet.

Bone Density scans - how often SHOULD they happen if you're taking Pred. ?
I have just been told that my Lumbar Spine is crumbling (osteoporosis). I've been taking Pred. for 22 years at varying levels and, in that time, have had just ONE scan. Admittedly, my Pred. dose is currently low although I have had fairly high doses in the past. I am obviously extremely worried about

Anyone have severe hip pain?
I have secondary Raynauds and haven't been formally diagnosed with what the underlying cause is. I have been having horrible back and hip pain (only on my left side) I don't remember injuring it, so I guess I am trying to figure out why it hurts so badly. I am having trouble sleeping, bending, getting

Scoliosis and asthma
Hi my Son has scoliosis because his asthma was not controlled for a very long time. Please ask your doctors to check your childrens spines. We were all so worried about keeping my son alive that we overlooked the obvious. I did keep asking why his rib was sticking out but kept getting fobbed off. We

Chiropractor Treatment
Hi, I started seeing a chiroppractor last year when I twisted my pelvis opening the PE shed at work. Once she sorted my lower back she started on the reflected pain and tension further up my back and neck. Without wishing to make it sound horrificc she basically cracked my spine all the way up, going

Upper cervical "specific" chiropractor treating migraines?
I've had mixed feedback about the value of chiropractors in treating migraines. Has anyone had any experience in this area? And is there any evidence out there that supports anecdotes.

Has anyone seen a chiropractor since surgery.
I saw one last week as I have had back trouble, she worked all over my body and now my ribs are hurting again. I am just wondering if it's a good thing or not. Anyone else had experience with a chiropractor?

Help with symptoms and diagnosis
I am from the UK and currently living in Australia for a year. My chiropractor has suggested (from how tired I've been and noticing changes in my hair) that I may have thyroid problems, but I am having trouble finding a GP who will take my concerns seriously. Off the top of my head symptoms I am experiencing
