Eureka! After asking recently for advice on taking prednisolone for fibromyalgia, a strange thing happened..........
No wonder Dr Lowe says that patients ranked
chiropractic
care (along with massage) among the most effective for them. It is no surprise that my 'special' chiro has a 2/3 month waiting list for new patients. My next appt is in 10 days, if there is a cancellation?

Accupuncture...
It's been a revelation for my poor old body! I've been having treatment with a master chiropractor for a month, starting with two sessions a week and now once a week. I have found someone who actually knows about fibromyalgia and the affect on the body. What a relief that was, but not nearly as much

I woke up around 9 weeks ago with a deep ache in my shoulder that hasn't went away it travels down my arm into my thumb and fore finger my Gp thinks I have nothing to worry about and that its most likely a nerve root compression coming from my neck. I'm limted inn what pain relief I can take as I'm also

I am so frustrated that I can't do anything to help my husband with his pain and doctors aren't helping.
He is having really bad pain in his legs to the point he cries. Because of his cognitive issues, I can't understand everything he is trying to tell me so I don't for sure know what he is experiencing. I've been driving the Neurologist crazy with my calls asking for help. He was taken off Mirapex several

Unexpected aches and pains
I was first diagnosed with PBC about 6 years ago and put on Urso. I'd originally gone to the doctor asking for a health check because my ex partner had died of pancreatitis and our two daughters were left devastated and I realised then I had to be responsible and make sure I stayed healthy to stick around

Stray dogs & running clubs and progress?
I haven't blogged much on here as my progress? has been very erratic. I first started wk 1 last July, I got to wk 3 when my husband decided he'd like to join me, he'd already run one of the wk 1 runs with me, he's quite fit and didn't struggle with it (life's not fair), so we went back and started

Fillings?
I have been advised to consider having my fillings replaced with white mercury free ones. I've read lots of research and would like to go ahead. Would the NHS pay for the treatment? I'm already paying privately for my chiropractor. Ty S x

Adenomyosis ? Awaiting 4th Decapeptyl injection and hopefully an hysterectomy.
i am 41 and am lucky enough to have 2 children aged 5 to 8. I have always suffered with mood swings and have been in and out of therapy and on and off depressants since puberty. Periods up until pregnancy were heavy but not painful and i managed good work record. Problems really started with pregnancy

Lower back pain :(
Completed run 2 week 4 yesterday and have awoken this morning to a recurrence of lower back pain :( This is the 3rd time I have done C25K. The first two times I completed the program but had to stop running due to back pain. It doesn't hurt when running, just afterwards. I did see a chiropractor

sea salt, more vitamins + 2 weeks levothyroxine before bed; condition much worse. Is this just my body adapting?
There seems to be some speculation that taking your meds before bed was more beneficial than in the morning. So, this is what i've been doing for the last two weeks. I don't recall the exact amount of time because my memory is virtually non existent in that respect. In this time period I've also

Symptoms of Fibromalgia
I have recently been told by my McTimoney Chiropractor That she thinks I have Fibromalgia. I felt it was a relief to hear that after suffering with all sorts of wierd symptoms for 20 years . following the birth of my 2nd child I ended up with a Miis-aligned pelvis which over the years has escalated

I just want to go for a run aka the importance of posture
It's now been a whole week since I had my miserable W6R3 run. I whined about it at the time - I was too hot, too tired, didn't enjoy it, blah blah blah. Now I'm whining because I'm desperate to get out and run again but can't due to injury from that miserable run! I think I'd feel a bit more like

don't know what to do next re pudendal nerve treatment
Hi all. I was diagnosed with pudendal neuralgia in june after having a period of 2 weeks of no pain at all following an x-ray guided pudendal nerve block into the nerve via the buttock. The anaeasthetic part didn't work at all but the steroid kicked in exactly 2 weeks after and I really thought I'd

Para Training 'til I Drop!
Both Whoop and Darcy had
chiropractic
treatments this morning to set them up for the training coming their way. Whoop had SCENAR as well. Then all their tack had to be cleaned and sorted and the lorry packed for an early start tomorrow.

Training our socks off and wading in treacle!
Hey Guys, how are you getting along? This week has been pretty full-on for me. Absolutely shattered but in a good way! On Monday, I took Wonderboy down to my trainer's yard for a lesson and we did a photoshoot for Arthritis Research UK while we were there. That was interesting, Whoop is getting the

Starting all over again... demoralising!
Hi all, I graduated in July and had just started running 3 x 30 mins a week and feeling very good about myself when disaster struck. I got bad pain in my knees and realised I had ITB syndrome. I took a few weeks off, tried some exercises/stretches a friend with the same problem recommended and tried

Palps/GI related issues linked with anxiety
So the answer lies not in trying to take a handful of magnesium tablets, or a bottle of probiotics, or
chiropractic
manipulation to address the problem, but rather to effectively understand the actual nature of the underlying cause, which has nothing whatsoever to do with disease of any kind.

Hi. I was dx 1 month ago. 2 years ago I developed a dragging sensation in my left leg that graduated to a limp and then worsened.
Employed
Chiropractic
and Accupuncture treatments and actually felt improvement in the beginning. Then it worsened. I am on sinement, 25/ 2 x a day. All of a sudden I have shallow breathing and feel like I have a "hiatal hernia". My solar plexus hurts when I push in.
