Hi JT yes I went to one about six years ago, because the Doc was saying then that it was just back trouble. So I went spending hundreds of pounds, twice a week some weeks. But it didnt help me at all, in fact I`d say it mad matters worse. It might work for some, but not me Ann xx

Hi I went to a chiro years ago before i got diaganosed with FM and it really helped me at the time it was mainly my neck that was bad and the 1st session it felt as if all this weight had been lifted it was fab!!!! I then kept going for my neck and back even after i was told i had FM as i felt it was the only thing that really helped me and i felt great for days after (although you may feel a bit sore or worse to start with!!!!). I kept going up until about a year ago as my FM has developed or changed i cant stand anyone touching my back when its like this and feel that the chiro will be too tough for me to stand.

Chiropractors are not for everyone and it may help but it may not. Lately i have been trying reflexology but its so expensive and i dont know if it works enough to keep paying the money.

But i do have to say that the chiro was a big relieve for me...

Take care

Thanks all for the advice. This is what I am weighing up. Its going to cost me a lot of money that I haven't got BUT I am at risk of losing my job in September as I have been off work for so long now. So I'm thinking I will give it a go because the meds alone and cbt aren't doing much, not enough to get me to some state of going back to work anyway. I went for a medical on Thursday and the doctor told me I am I'm no fit state to go back to with now or I'm the near future. I am gutted and need to do all I can to make it happen. I can't lose my job because then I will have to sell my house and the stress of all that will just make me worse :-(
