went off Xgeva for a year, have to go back on it. Ideas or tips helpful
Hi, the short version is I’ve been dealing w stage 4 MBC since 2019/ 2020 with mets to the bones since 2020, including a thoracic spinal fracture which led to a spinal fusion. I was put on Xgeva for a couple of years and later read on Xgeva’s website that being on it long term is likely to increase

D day is here!
after a year of enduring this tumour, D Day is here! Surgery is just hours away. feeling good. After being left quite ill after a failed iron infusion, but made better by one which worked with a blood transfusion, feeling good. Thats not to say that there arent butterflies, of course there are. But

Back in June I went on a work trip to London , which I will state was one of the most stressful time I have experienced. I was staying in a hotel room and I awoke early hours in the morning with V&D , luckily I manage to drive home safely however nausea was terrible. I then had V&D for 10 days. At this

Warfarin to Edoxaban
I have for the last few months been prescribed 60mg Edoxaban after 10 years of taking Warfarin after a DVT and PE. This due to my GP surgery merger with a bigger practice. Warfarin was my only option in 2013 before these new drugs became available. I'm told it's safer and no INR blood tests. I'd like

Now for something completely different
Monday, when you probably will see this post. Crack of dawn. I will be on my way to University Hospital London for a Radical Prostatectomy on Weds. Yes, I've had to learn a new lexicon of terms and medical knowledge. Whilst for the last few months I have been an observer of comments and post rather

Long story. Diagnosed mild bronchiectasis 2010. Regular OP follow up till 2017 in local hospital and regional immunology clinic till 2021. Also have IgA deficiency and auto immune arthritis. Exacerbation since June 2023 and still coughing loads sputum every day. Sputum tests have shown lots of infection

Endo and Adenomyosis
Hi all - I'm just wondering if anyone can advise further on what the likely next steps and/or treatments may be in my situation? I've had a private scan which has said: likely adenomyosis (focal and diffuse), bilaterial endometriomas - 4x5cm endometrioma on right side and smaller one on left side,

Penile Implants
Here in the U.S. there are two penile implants for E. D. They are the Coloplast Titan and the AMS 700. Both are internal with a saline water bulb hidden in the scrotum. When an erection is needed it is pumped up. Afterwards a click and the thing puts the fluid back in the bulb. Surgery looks barbaric

UK Brain Neurosurgeron recommendation?
Hi everyone, I have a brain paraclinoid aneurysm and I would like to go through endovascular surgery to repair it because it's causing me to lose my sight in one eye and I have strong headaches, photophobia and dizziness. I am scared of undergoing surgery with a doctor that is inexperienced or that butchered

Hypothyroidism & Pre-operative blood test results Abnormal
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism around 2012 - 2013 and prescribed Levothyroxine by my GP. Prior to an operation in 2017 I had pre-operative bloods taken, which included TSH and FT4. My blood test results showed that my TSH levels were very low and outside reference ranges. TSH : * 0.09 mIU

9 weeks post-circumcision, still scab
I’m almost 10 weeks since circumcision surgery. Stitches have all dissolved and there haven’t been any issues during recovery. I’ve begun masturbation again but I’m yet to have intercourse. My scab along the incision line gradually came off a couple of weeks ago, but since then some new scab has appeared

What could be causing pain in the testicle?
Share you with my opinions. There are many reasons for testicular pain, the most common reason is chronic prostatitis, epididymitis and varicocele. Prostrap & dry eye
Hello, I’m on month 5 of prostrap with tibolone whilst I await excision surgery for endometriosis. I’m experiencing the worst dry eye / blepharis. In having to cleanse my eyelids, hot flannel massage, eye rinse, and drops and then eyelid cream multiple times a day and it’s really getting me down.
