pre diagnosis/waiting laparoscopy
I’m on the wait list for my first surgery for suspected endo and just wondering if anyone had any tips for coping whilst waiting? I feel so anxious waiting for a diagnosis even though all my symptoms point to endometriosis, experiencing so much pain but not knowing officially why is driving me crazy?

Surgery waiting times
Hi all. Just wondering if there is anyone from Northern Ireland on a waiting list for diagnostic surgery for Endo? I've been on the waiting list for 5 years and been told it will probably be another few years, I've seen two consultants at the Mater within in the last 5 years although didn't actually

BAV Valve Replacement
Hello, I'm 36 and I have BAV with moderate/severe regurgitation. I don't suffer from tiredness, or feeling out of breath, but I do sometimes get palpitations. I'm going for checkups at the moment to determine when I will need surgery. My heart is slightly enlarged currently. I'm wondering whether

Slight bleeding from incision
Hi I am on day 11 now since surgery and still getting bleeding on top left and some yellowish discharge. Some of my stiches have also come away due to night errections. Is this normal and how long will it take to heel? I appreciate any advice please. I had my circumcision due to suffering phimosis. Thanks

High BP, abdominal pain and sickness and UTI
I initially had bouts of anaemia and tiredness throughout the early 2000s and was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism around 2010. I was told that my excess weight would drop off me after being prescribed Levothyroxine. That didn't happen but I did get side effects and symptoms of an underactive thyroid

All my life, I've been outdoors and active. Fifty of those 77 years has been working as an outdoor instructor/mountain guide, sometimes at altitude in the European Alps. Twelve years ago I had ablation surgery for Atrial Fibrillation. It worked okay until recently. Cardio inspections recently found

an immobile mess
Firstly let me apologise the the lengthy post my mood is rock bottom right now and I need a safe space to air everything! I should also note I'm in the UK so a lot of the medical services are very different than what I would get quite easily in the US . I have suffered with bouts of lower back and hip

Adenomyosis or Endo back??
Hi everyone, I had a laparoscopy in 2018 and had mild endometriosis tissue removed from my pelvis, and two cysts removed (one being an endometrioma). I have started having pain again the last couple of years and have been back to the doctors a few times as I felt I had an ovarian cyst again. However

Bronchitis
I have been coughing on and off for about a month, a few days ago I started feeling really ill. I phoned the surgery and was given an appointment with a nurse practitioner who confirmed it was bronchitis and not a chest infection and gave a prescription for a salbutamol inhaler. Should I be concerned

Prostatic Artery Embolization
I’m 67 year old and have been suffering with BPH for years. Don’t want to do TURP or lasers. I’m interested in doing PAE. Has anyone had this procedure done. Does it work. I had a cystoscope and the urologist found a medial lobe at the neck of the bladder. Would PAE work if the blockage is located there

I’ve always had problems with my periods since being a teenager. I first went to the doctors around 18 and was dismissed. I’m now 36 and finally got a diagnosis of adenomyosis (via MRI scan) and endometriosis. I’ve had the surgery to do excision and I’ve bled non stop since. Yesterday I thought I

happy Saturday!
I brought home my dog domino following acl surgery and am overwhelmed about his rehab routine. Massage, ice, meds, trips to vet daily for laser therapy, etc. for at least 8 weeks. Has anyone else been through this and have any coping skills to suggest?
