Colposcopy after smear results sharp pain
I had a colposcopy today following my smear test finding abnormal cells, I was very shocked as I kind of thought it was just a second opinion but the doctor informed me they were incredibly concerned about my case. I had the colposcopy and he decided the best thing was to take biopsies, he then struggled

Endometriosis and Smear Tests
Hi guys. Quick question - I’ve been invited for a cervical smear test. I had my laparoscopy about 8months ago. I was just wondering if it’s ok to have a smear test (mainly pain-wise!) or if I should wait longer? (I might just be being a bit of a scaredy cat about it haha). Any advice would be appreciated

symptoms persist after Covid
Hello everyone. I had Covid (mild case) a little over a month ago, and I'm still trying to recover from it. I spent three years with health anxiety about Covid, and finally got it. I can make it through the day until 2:00 pm, which is when I have to lay down and take a nap (if I can). I also have

IUD removal with general anaesthetic
Hi! I have been living with suspected endometriosis since I was 14. Flooding, heavy periods and intense stomach and back pain have plagued my life. In 2020 I was finally sent to see a gynaecologist after a decade of medical gaslighting. I ended up leaving with an IUD I never wanted or requested. The

Think I might have a prolapse. Is it common in a young woman who has never given birth?
I'm not sure if I should book an appointment for a generic
cervical
screening
and mention it when I get there, or book an appointment specifically because I think I have a prolapse.

I am 14 weeks with twins and at 12 weeks I had a cervical cerclage put in place so that the cervix will not open before time. Now my challenge is getting bloody discharge everytime I visit the bathroom but my recent scan the babies are well. Anyone who experienced bleeding with twin pregnancy

Feeling on my own with this
Hi ladies, I stumbled on this group by luck. I'm 46 and I think I have been going through perimenopause for 10 years. Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this (I think I'm going mad!) Up to now, I have been suffering from the urge of needing to urine more often but it comes and goes

Newbie here, tests/symptoms suggest PA or AAG
Hi everyone. My medical adventures have been ongoing for years but, like many others, I have struggled to find a definitive diagnosis for my symptoms. My spouse is the only person I've shared all this with. He's been by my side and supportive throughout numerous doctors shrugging their shoulders — and

HPV positive - low grade dyskaryosis
Hi there ladies I have received the result of a smear test and the result is HPV Positive - low grade dyskaryosis. I will be having a colposcopy. Has anyone on here had this result who can help provide reassurance? I've never had this result before. How does it impact upon IVF treatment? Thanks all

I went to the Sexual Health Clinic and the doctor there was just lovely. She said the Instillagel was not ideal as it

Hello all, first time posting. I've had chronic pain on moving for over ten years, can't remember when it started. My pain is threefold, all on walking. 1.pain with each step can be in pelvis, hip, groin, upper thigh, can vary in place and intensity with each step. 2. Low back pain like a plank of wood

After many many years of no health concerns, my wife at 68yrs old last December, 2021 had a routine cbc and the platelets were at 2200 on the usual 150-350 scale and confirmed with a blood smear. No other blood parameters were interesting and all the typical genetic tests including the over 50 ngs genetics

In my last cervix
screening
they told me to see a
cervical
ectropion but nothing was done. During my periods I also get nose bleeds and my bowel movements change (IBS they said) , my stools are much softer and looser and I think they have blood in them.
