Hi everyone 👋

After many years of complaining to my GP about very painful and heavy periods, with giant clots, following recurrent urinary tract infections the vasculitis team at the hospital referred me for a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound where they discovered by chance diffuse adenomynosis. In my last cervix screening they told me to see a cervical ectropion but nothing was done.

During my periods I also get nose bleeds and my bowel movements change (IBS they said) , my stools are much softer and looser and I think they have blood in them. I always thought it was the period communicating but I don't think so.

The vasculitis team have sent a letter to my GP for treatment.

1- Is there anyone in the group with a diagnosis of UCTD, SLE...who has adenomynosis and could you tell me about your experience and treatment received please?

2- Is it the gynaecologist who treats this and does MRI scans to confirm?

3- When I reach menopause this could disappear?

Thank you very much in advance.

All the best.
