Un"effing"believable
So for a while I've had terrible earache. I've been told it's a virus and/or labrynthitis (sp). It's progressively got worse and I managed to get an appointment today with a GP. Now the GP I saw was a trainee and she was in with one of the partners wo was assessing her. She asked a load of questions

Hypothyroidism... 27 feeling tired & cold
Hi, Its been 2 weeks since I got diagnosed with hypothyroidism...It came as a bit of a shock. Was having heavy periods that lasted weeks so went to the doctors, got given blood test and smear (came back clear YAY!) and got a call asking me to come discuss my results. I went along expecting a prescription

Endo / cyst sufferer - advice..?
Hi all, I'm 28 and have had horrendous periods since my very first one. In fact I remember my mum warning me about them and to expect "a teaspoon - tablespoon of blood" - well you can imagine my horror at 12 to find my bed soaked! Anyway, after years of issues at around 20 my faithful GP was convinced

Hi I'm a newbie here
I'm Kim 56 yrs old and during a routine lumbar MRI a few weeks back a large 11.5cm cyst was found in my pelvic area. I saw a wonderful gynae specialist last night in a fast track clinic and she has said it has to come out along with my fallopian tubes and ovaries so I am due to have a bi lateral salpingo

Thyroid & Vitamin B 12 / Folate blood testing!
I have just seen the below on labtestonline.org (there is a .co.uk site also). I think what it says is relevant to many of the side effects mentioned on TUK and other communities! I was just looking at tests for Vit B. I also want to look at Ferritin and B6 to see what it says about them. Please note

Precancerous cells
Do I need to worry? I'd totally forgot about my smear in November, letter came 2 days ago saying I have severe, high grade dyskaryosis, pre cancerous cells in neck of the womb. Last November they were only mild, the lowest, how can they progress so quickly? Do I need to be worrying that it will come
