Help understanding information on medical report re: smear / pap / cervical screening
Sorry, I’m totally new to this, never posted on any forum before. But I am desperate to know what this means and my Gp isn’t open now until Monday and I will only worry about this!! What does this information mean on my medical report ‘Screening - abnormal, phone encounter failed - to be arranged’ :

New Study Indicates Ovarian Cancer Originates in Fallopian Tubes
"Most -- and possibly all -- ovarian cancers start, not in ovaries, but instead in the fallopian tubes attached to them. This is the finding of a multicenter study of ovarian cancer genetics led by researchers from Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Health, and published online Oct. 17 in Nature

Hi there, I’m 35, ttc#1 and have unexplained infertility. It’s been 2 years of ttc and had loads of tests to no avail so we are being referred for IVF. I’m terrified, I am a total wimp about needles and hospitals and almost faint most times I have blood taken (that’s after 8 weeks of CBT which did really

Gynecology and scleroderma
Hey guys, I've just found you! I was wondering if anyone can offer any advice/suggestions about the gyny troubles I have been having please? I have no idea if there is any relationship between this and my scleroderma. I have limited SS which I've had for more than 7years (after a 5year fight for diagnosis

Unusual bleeding
Hi looking for a bit of advice. I have been bleeding since the 12th Sept sometimes I have had a day or 2 where I haven't. It is usually spotting and have also clots as well. I am a bit concerned as due to having too much prolactin I don't have periods very often but when I do it doesn't last this long

Vaginal vault smear
Hi all After having CIN3 diagnosed I had a total hysterectomy on 21sept I am home now but on discharge I read on the papers that I will be having a vaginal vault smearfor the next 9 years (I am 56). My surgeon told me I had a bulky cervix and uterus which has scared me. Looking on the net suggests this

Lower left side pelvic pain worse lying down/at night
2 years ago (starting from February 2015) I started getting left hip pain and heavier, more painful periods. One year and a half ago (October 2015) I also started getting bowel issues, quite like IBS and cystitis combined, only I had no infections when tested. October 2015-January 2016 ongoing feeling

MMR before I can be assessed for fertility treatment?
Hi, I finally got referred to gynaecologist to be assessed but as I went for my smear test last week, the nurse informed me my last blood test came back I wasn't immunised against Rubella and needed an MMR before fertility will even consider me. This left me a little upset as she then went on to say

Frustrated
So been for another gynaecology appointment today. So within 18month after having my c section with my baby boy, I've had 2 ops, first was to remove endo and adhesions, they inserted the merina but it came back with twice as much pain and the merina made me so irregular so was removed...the second op

Never had a smear test.
Hello everyone. Iv never had a smear test and I know how important it is to have one but I can't let anything near me. It hurts so much even internal examinations are extreme. I feel embarrassed at times with my pain level. I have endometriosis and number of other problems. Main one being vaginismus

Hello, I recently went for a smear test and my results came back with that I have HPV and also adnormal cells.. does this detect Herpes as I also have this in my system?. I'm worrying about the results and have a cotoscolopy (however it's spelt) next Wednesday. I have recently come on my period and I

Cervix Query.. A cervix survey..
So, I'm not sure if this is Endo related or not... but where else can I talk to supportive women who know more about women's bodies than most GPs.. ( and it seems at times, my gyne consultant!) I usually use a moon cup when I'm on, and as I was inserting it the other day, I realised that I haven't examined
