Arm/wrist
I've got an apt 8the june with a rheumatologist. I've got a positive ana, raised esr, high rheumatoid factor and positive ccp. I'm petrified this pain is something like cancer. My right wrist started hurting and then left 2 lumps. Now I don't know if it's the lumps that are hurting or my actual wrist

Goodbye Xeloda, Hello Taxol or Abraxane
I think I'm most worried about the solvent Cremophor that is needed with Taxol, as Cremophor is basically
castor
oil
and I had a bad reaction to it years ago when I used it topically. My onc thinks it will be fine and I know they'll monitor me as they give it.

Intrinsic Factor at top of range
My intrinsic factor antibody test came back at 1.1 (normal range 0-1.1). I was told that because my number is trending upward it should be considered positive. My B12 was 234 but many neuro symptoms including twitching, burning feet, ears ringing, anxiety. My question is....should this number be an

Endometrial Cancer- 8 months remission-after 4 years trying
Hi friends, As we all worry and deal with covid-19 pandemic, I thought it would be good to share some success I have been having, mostly because I never expected this much success...even though I remain open to the idea that my cancer can recur. I am in remission about 8 months! My doc always said he

How I overcame IBS-D
Dear all, I periodically post this advice to help new-comers to the subject. I consider myself a recovered IBS-sufferer and so like to share what I learned. I hope that you are keeping sane during the lockdown! This is my general approach to help people understand and repair their gastro-intestinal

Hi First and foremost I have to say I am so grateful for this community and hearing other people's stories. I recently had an anti VEGF as it was identified I had myopic macular degeneration. For those that saw improvements in their vision after anti. VEGF injection? How long did it take? Thanks in

Lupus/APS and cod liver oil
Hi, I'm 49, and have lupus with antiphospholipid syndrome. I'm currently on lifelong warfarin, statins, vit D, hydroxychloroquine and methotrexate injections. The inflammatory arthritis is very painful, would cod liver oil be safe to take with anticoagulants? I think the oil would help with the inflammation

Suffering symptoms of b12 deficiency whilst not getting b12 injections
I'm suffering with extreme tiredness aches all over and pins and needles in fingers and toes. I'm going for b12 blood test next week full blood count and intrinsic factor. I'm really upset that I have to suffer these symptoms and I am worried that it will show a high reading as it has done before.

Why We need B12. How it was discovered.
I have been doing some research and it all confirms what my Consultant told me 40 years ago. There were three men Minot, Whipple and Murphy who worked on this and were awarded the Nobel prize for discovering that Pernicious Anaemia was different from ordinary Anaemia. They used to give patients liver

Tele Appintment
I got a call yesterday from my cardiologist's office. His nurse told me my regular appointment was being canceled. Instead, we will be doing it through the computer. I will have to log in to the patient portal, and Dr. Hai will pop on, and . . . Dr. Hai will likely meet Mr. Johnathon T. Fuzzibutt, Adventure

Association Between Dihydrotestosterone and Long-Term Risk for PCa Mortality
New study below [1]. To skip the preamble, read below "***". Ever since Huggins discovered that castration offered palliation for men with PCa, albeit temporary, there has been a belief that testosterone [T[ acts like gasoline on a fire. A number of study papers have appeared over the past 15 years
