Graduation run completed! 👩🏻🎓😀😅🏃🏻♀️🐌🐢Time to tell my story
Various medical opinions were offered:
cartilage
damage
, bursitis, long standing bio mechanical imbalance and just the fact my knees needed time to catch up with what the rest of my body was trying to do - I think this is the most likely explanation. 25 years on the couch.

Cheeky 6.5k run
Well woke up feeling good so I had a lovely morning run. I seem to be getting better at covering 5k in 30 mins now. My avage pave was 10min a mile so I was happy with that. I track my runs with MapMyFitness and I’ve noticed that my mile time are improving a lot. So here’s to my next run and good luck

No HM for me this weekend...
The good news is that the x-ray showed my bones and
cartilage
are in great shape. But soft tissue
damage
is always such an unknown quantity. Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me folks...

Delayed visit to the IC
So, possibly
cartilage
damage
- but, definitely 1 month consignment to to IC. No running, no cycling and a few knee exercises - only then will we see whether further treatment is required. Gutted!

RA vs The Krypton Factor
If your immune system is particularly good it will erode the
cartilage
around your joints, cause dramatic muscle and tendon
damage
and send the inflammatory levels in your body rocketing.

Useful article on diet
Oleocanthal has been shown to decrease inflammation and help reduce
cartilage
damage
in the joints. High-fiber foods may help lower blood levels of C-reactive protein, one of the RA-associated indicators of inflammation.

SUBGLOTTIC STENOSIS - this rare condition has been included on this site due to it's implication in gastric reflux syndrome*****.
Speedy intervention prior to
cartilage
damage
or scar contracture is preferred when the diagnosis is made early. Relevant Anatomy The subglottic area is circumferentially bound by the cricoid cartilage, which is part of the larynx.

Getting nowhere, short story long!
Doc did knee xrays which showed, thankfully, no
cartilage
or bone
damage
, just a slight narrowing consistent with my age (errr thanks!)

Damaged nerves!
Well, they seem to think that I have nerve
damage
, possibly brought on from the torn
cartilage
I had in that knee approx. 5 months ago!

Knee pain....cartilage damage or arthritis?
For about three weeks I`ve been experiencing pain in my right knee. This is sometimes stabby, sometimes a dull ache. It hurts a lot more coming downstairs when it clicks as well. Some days are worse than others and it is never agonizing, just worrying and rather out of the blue. Does this sound familiar

Suffering a great deal
I can't walk now because my foot swelled up so badly and an X-ray showed that I have significant
cartilage
damage
. My doctor didn't give me any pain medication and acted like it wasn't anything to worry about although the pain is so severe I can't even rotate my ankle or put any weight on it.

More pain
Darling hubby got me to A&E suspected ligament/
cartilage
damage
. I cannot load up pic of the stylish splint I have to wear for 2 weeks till they review the damage. Ice packs and crutches to add to the fun. Any extra pain is crazy but being immobilise is very annoying.

Post PMR damage - help!
I believe that I have suffered
damage
to my tendons and
cartilage
caused by the steroid, but wonder if this will reverse. It really upsets me to think I will be like this for the rest of my life.

Re: jaw pain
Neither think it is the illness symptom but a wearing out of the joint, possible
cartilage
damage
. Can this be another wretched side effect of the medication? My GP said if things don't improve an injection is one possibility, last resort an op!

No running for up to 6 weeks
He says I've possibly got some minor
cartilage
damage
and damage to the pes anserine tendons (!). He gave me an ultrasound treatment to the tendons, and I've got to go back for 2 more of those. He also gave me some hamstring stretches to do.

As a secondary issue is that the medical assessment (4 minute physical examination) concluded I could walk ok, whereas I was diagnosed with Acute Grade 4
cartilage
damage
in both knees three weeks after the examination !

I don't understand about permanent damage that RA can cause, can anyone explain?
Is it Osteoarthritis when the
damage
occurs? What happens to
cartilage
? does that get worn away also? I read somewhere that most RA patients experience their most aggressive stage for the first 2-3 years, then it will settle, has anyone heard this?
