Physiotherapist v Rheumatologist

Hi

Reference knee ligament strain posts

In last 2 days I have seen both physio and rheumi.

Yet again conflicting info!!!!!!!

Physio says knee area swollen rheumi says no.

Rheumi sees me every 6 months by the way.

Physio suggests more ice rheumi says try heat as stiffness is limiting mobility.

So ice one hour heat the next?

Both agree I probably have cartilage damage.

Old MRI indicates some thinning so not far idea its got worst?

Hi Skit I know what you mean because my Rheumatologist thought my bone in my knee had torn and the orthopaedic told his trainee to tell me that I need to see a physiotherapist and come back to them in 2 months. I had already been discharged from the physiotherapist because they could not help me with my knee which is wear and tear due to my SLE Lupus and maybe my Fibroymalgia which I suffer with both medical conditions. I just wish these medical professionals would learn to communicate more with each other before contradicting themselves and telling the patients things which are not true however I can say for myself that my Rheumatologist is the only medical profession who is absolutely brilliant he gives me so much emotional support has well as looking after my physical disability and I do not know what I would do if I did not have him to moan to every 3 months. I wish you all the very best and I hope you get your medical treatment suited out take care :)
