Polymyalgia flare after knee cartilage damage
I wondering if it's something to do with the
cartilage
damage
or a flare of the polymyalgia because of the
cartilage
damage
. Anyone any ideas ? Thanks.

Knee Injury - Motivation!
Having googled my injury as you do, one of the main causes in older women is being overweight…the load on these poor old knees is too much and a twisting movement or even just kneeling can

the meniscus
cartilage

Steroid injections for OA knee
Been involved with local MSK service since August 2022 following injury left knee, diagnosed as oa with possible
damage
to
cartilage
. Physio not helped, steroid injection a possibility but according to MSK protocol I have to be at 4mgs or under of Prednisolone to be allowed an injection.

New information on knees - osteochondral defect
Eventually I got an x-ray on my knees last month and wasn't really expecting it to show anything but apparently I have mild (one knee) and mild/moderate 'osteochondral defect' which as far as I can tell is
damage
to the knee bones and
cartilage
either caused by injury trauma (I can't think of anything

Burst Bakers Cyst
Following an MRI scan, I am told I have significant
damage
to both
cartilage
and ligament but both my RA specialist and a knee surgeon felt that treating the RA initially was the best course of action to bring the inflammation down.

Stress from ADHD has caused most of my physical injuries
It's taking ages as I have some
cartilage
damage
now after repeatedly injuring it. This injury really limits what I can do, in regards to work outside my house and also exercise.

Leg injury stopped me completing the course :(
It’s not been broken but I got some
cartilage
and muscle
damage
. I was advised not to run for 4-6 weeks. The time is nearly up and I’m so desperate to start running but also nervous. Any advice about starting again after an injury and time out? Hope you’re all keeping well. X

Tired of gca, pmr, osteoporosis, back issues
Haven't been able to repair left knee miniscus tear or right ankle
cartilage
damage
from old fracture. Couldn't do surgery on these first due to high dose (80 mg) prednisone & now covid risk. MRIs showed significant multiple back issues. Gastro issues better than a year ago.

Knee problem after graduating
I haven’t run since and think it may be something like
cartilage
damage
. It’s just below the knee cap and I’ve struggled to walk since. It throbs even when resting and is agony if I do anything remotely active. Do I just rest? I’ve applied ice and have a knee support coming tomorrow.

What knee support should I use?

Any advice on how to restart at C25K once I potentially have surgery on the left knee?
Sooo I may have to have surgery on my left knee, due to the
cartilage
damage
and fluid that keeps sending serious pain issues from my knee sometimes to halfway up my thigh mostly the pain is just my knee being a pain!!like severe pain.

Steroids and cartilage regeneration
If cortisone injections have to be limited because they
damage
cartilage
, what are the implications for oral corticosteroids and exacerbation of osteoarthritis?

GOOD HYDRATION
Cartilage
loses its cushioning efficiency and becomes more prone to
damage
. Headaches, stitch, muscle cramps and general lethargy can also be caused by dehydration. None of the above is going to help you enjoy your running, nor perform to your potential.

Could a fracture in a joint actually help cartilage regeneration?
We now know that steroid injections
damage
cartilage
. But before I came down with PMR I sustained a tibial plateau fracture. At the time x-rays of both knees revealed the beginnings of OA and I was told the fracture would make things worse.

Anyway, I guess I Should be pleased that my scans did not show
damage
to
cartilage
or bone; so I should consider myself lucky and calm down. I guess it's still a scary thing. xx

Hyper Mobility
Yoga is often recomended to help keep arthrtic joints supple but for the many people I know with Arthritis who also have Hyper mobility syndromes such as EDS, it really can
damage
a joint that extends too much, has fragile
cartilage
or is prone to dislocate. Any tips?

Cartilage, arthritis and hypothyroid
Hi I have been researching about osteoarthritis and
cartilage
damage
and have found a couple of studies suggesting that these can be caused by thyroid problems and auto immune diseases rather than the normal wear and tear explanation.

Fibro/ME/Lyme?
Left with constant pain etc and have had two hip surgeries to repair weird
damage
where they couldn't identify why my
cartilage
had been literally eaten away! I have pretty much all of the 'points of pain' used to diagnose fibromyalgia. Is there a difference really between fibro and ME?
