Anti-thyroid antibodies
I have been on Levothyroxine for 2 years and my TSH levels are now normal, but I have just had a full thyroid blood test and my antibody levels are really high at 148 kIU/L. I am now trying a gluten free diet but would appreciate any other advice to reduce these levels.

If you have PBC, you are at higher risk for Celiac Disease
I have recently been diagnosed with Celiac's Disease which is another autoimmune disorder affecting the small intestine, liver and other body systems. Apparently, those with PBC are at higher risk of developing Celiac disease and some authorities say that those diagnosed with PBC should also get tested

Methylation. What is is? Why is it so VERY Important....Also backs up topics discussed in The Broken Brain Docu-series.
With the complexity of Thyroid issues, the very fact that we have brain fog and the mass of information out there it easy to miss important things that can help us. Not all of us know or understand what "Methylation" is? I came across an excellent site. Please see the link below. But before you do, I

Fatty acid synthase Inhibitors.
Recent media interest in the PCa study that showed that aggressive cancer cells are fat factories, is a reminder that fatty acid synthase [FAS / FASN] upregulation is a feature of a number of cancers, & has been the subject of cancer research for over 20 years. If we can reduce FAS levels in PCa cells

Can anyone advise on weight gain/loss?
Asking for experiences with reducing weight whilst taking steroids please. It sounds frivolous when compared to our respective pain and discomfort but I am really struggling with the weight redistribution/gain. I remain sporty and exercise each day but I cannot shift even a pound and am extremely uncomfortable

Low protein diet plan for PD meds
I wish someone would make a list of food and recipes, for low protein, 5 small meals daily, so meds can be absorbed quickly. I found about 4mg protein per small meal, still lets meds get by. My neurologist is so funny, he said,"drink plenty of water when you take stalevo, but don't drink too much water

Kidney cancer survivor
Hi! I am a 62 year old female who was diagnosed with kidney cancer last March after a radical nephrectomy was performed. Luckily this was found by my primary care doctor after finding microscopic blood in my urine during a complete physical and insisting that I go for a cat scan. I had no symptoms so

IBS-C Sibo ( Methane Gas Detected )
Hi all, can any one recommend a Consultant Gastroentologist in the UK that recognises Methane gas Sibo and will treat the problem? After doing six months very low carb diet and expensive supplement regime I found no improvement.

Dosing Prednisone at end.
Because my thrush is not leaving while on Prednisone and all GCA symptoms are in remission I need to get off Prednisone ASAP. I’m at 6 mgs for 8 days. I saw a post earlier stating the person reduced.by .05 mgs a week. Is that considered safe? I see rheumatologist next week and will see what she thinks

Dr freaking out due to High T3 & blood sugar!
Hi, just got back from gp and she says although I have no ketones in my blood I have very high blood sugar!? Finger prick test today was 16. She says she wants me on metformin and that I have to go to hospital! She wants me to stop taking T3 as well as I am on a high dose as I'm thyroid hormone resistant

New ACTIVE B12 test from Medichecks: what does this mean?
Dear all; I have found your previous advice on this forum very useful. However I am somewhat disappointed with my test results received today, and wondered if you have any answers. My first test was in March 2017. I have been free of my Beta Blockers, and my PPI for 5/ 6 months to aid gut absorption

Test Results
Hi I’ve just had a blood test due to feeling tired and foggy of late. I’m a bit confused about my results. I had an increase from 100 to 125 Levo in October due to returning hypo symptoms and what the Dr termed a ‘borderline’ blood result. I was feeling much better until now. My TSH is obviously very
