Insomnia
Curious, what is the biggest culprit causing chronic insomnia in my diet Lupron, Zytiga, or Prednisone No matter what time I go to sleep 9,10, or 11. I wake at 3 o'clock every morning. Might be able to grab another hour sometimes. Tried Magnesium L-Threonate, Melatonin, Chamomile tea. Dr gave Trazodone

My Story for private endocrinologist - what Qs to ask? 🤔
This is everything I have sent to the private endocrinologist about the last two years, with supporting evidence…. Dear Private Endocrinologist, I believe I have symptoms of hypothyroid or central hypothyroid or an issue with HPT axis however my blood tests are within the NHS ranges. In the two

Hi all, My dad was recently diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer with Gleason 4+5. We are trying to do everything possible to help him including switching to a Mediterranean diet. His doctor advised him to take a calcium and D3 supplement, as well as a men’s multivitamin. I was wondering

Progress - I think ....
HiApologies for the long post... Finally had a meaningful conversation with a GP at my practice (not my usual one but that didn't matter) & got results from CT scans. No blockages & 0 calcium so nothing to be alarmed about on that score. No further action required except to stop beta blockers. So

Does parathyroid hormone worsen osteoporosis?
I have just had a blood test and learn that my parathyroid hormone level is high/abnormal. (I learned from Google that the parathyroid gland is actaully nothing to do with thyroid level. It's so named because it is located in the neck behind the thyroid gland.) As I understand it the parathyroid hormone

Is anyone with CKD on Clonidine b/p drug?
I am stage 5, and had to be taken off Losartan because of hyperkalemia. My Neph gave me a new drug which I couldn't tolerate as it made my heart race. So she said maybe you dont need to be on a b/p med since that ofc visit it was only 130/xx. I subsequently had an appointment with my cardiologist

support for tapering ropinerol
I have been on Ropinerol for about 5 years and trying to taper after Increasing the dosage, every year due to earlier leg ache and increased area of pain. When I started it was below my knee and now it’s entire leg. I was up to 2 mg in January and my new primary care suggested I could cut my pill in

Periodic episodes of fluctuating tachycardia while in AFib.
Never had any heart problems until early 2020. I'm a rather robust yet strong guy , late 40s. I suspect COVID may have had something to do with it. Never vaccinated either..went to e.r after having AFib for 16 hrs. Was blacking out at work. Thought I was going to die. Spent 2 days in hospital. Echocardiogram

Sharing good news
firstly thanks for the great advice I got about what to expect at my first cardio appointment. after a period of time feeling breathless on exertion I got results of scans. my consultant said he was surprised that the results were so positive due to my many years as as a smoker. ( not smoked for ten
