firstly thanks for the great advice I got about what to expect at my first cardio appointment.

after a period of time feeling breathless on exertion I got results of scans.

my consultant said he was surprised that the results were so positive due to my many years as as a smoker. ( not smoked for ten years) The upshot was calcium score 132 I’m 66. LAD mildly blocked. So with meds and more lifestyle changes sounds manageable at this time.

any tips gratefully received and thanks for your previous support.

Listen to the advice about lifestyle changes. So the Easter eggs are out. Send them over to me and I will neutralise them.

In the meantime I don't know if you need to lose weight, get more exercise, eat different foods but starting it sooner rather than later would seem good advice

I'd like to volunteer to help you neutralise those nasty little Easter Eggs Devonian - all in the name of community spirit of course 🤣👍

We would be carrying out a public service so we can feel very noble.

If you are not signed up for heart rehab, do, this will certainly help re diet and exercise advice. It is a brilliant programme by the NHS.

When exercising start off gently and gradually build yourself up and set youeself some achievable goals.

Good luck.

That all sounds like good news Golfingnrwby - I'm glad you've had reassuring results. A modified health & exercise regime sounds like a great start. Once I got over the initial recovery from a triple bypass last February (63 yr old female) I started with a much healthier diet and do a lot more walking and a lot less sitting than before. I can honestly say that I now feel better than I've felt for ages - I think we fall into bad habits over the years and don't think about it until our bodies protest! Onwards and upwards...... 😀🙂 Carol
