hi everyone I got my blood results back and I wondered for some advice because I have not been feeling great I feel really fatigue lately and yet still I can’t shift any weight! I am on t4 75mcg and t3 10mcg 2x day (total 20mcg). Before I see my endo tomorrow I would like to understand it a bit better. Because I feel exhausted some days and I know if I feel like that someone’s out of sync and my calcium is ok so it’s defo not that, as I have hypoparathyoid as well.
I’m thinking do u think If lower t4 and increase t3 a touch? Thanks everyone 🙏

Thyroid 36 For me it would be the low ft4 that would be causing the problems. I would be looking to increase levo.
When on combo some folks are symptom free when ft4 is low as long as ft3 is high. Others need ft4 and ft3 higher in range.
Some folks on here need both over 60% through range but we are all different and can only find out where we need ft4 and ft3 by trial and error so I wouldn't aim for a particular level.
I spent 2 years slowly adjusting doses till I found a regime that I wanted to stay on to see the longer term benefits. I ended up on 2x50mcg levo and 5mcg and 2.5mcg lio. This gives me ft4 50% measured at its lowest and ft3 72% measured at its average.
Ah thank you 🙏oh wow hahah how confusing, yes my t4 is on the low end so must be it then, so u think I should go or my endo and ask for t4 increase? I started t3 in November and Initially that boost of t3 I felt amazing full of energy but also reduce my levo from 100mcg to 75mcg so yes that makes sense I’m starting to feel that effect now . 🙈
ah really wow ! It’s crazy how so much wrong advice seems to always be given by people we are meant to put trust in. So do u think I should say to my endo to raise t4 again to 100mcg and stick with t3 as is?
ok amazing thank you, so leave the t3 med the same and ask to increase the t4 back up. If he mentions the TSH already low I will just say I would like to try it and see how I feel. Because i know some endos are set in there ways of still believing low TSH effects your bones yet studies have snow and proven this is not the case. Gosh so stressful trying to get balance right ! 🙈 thank u so much I really appreciate your help
Hi Lalatoo my appointment went amazing, my endo suggested without me even mentioning that my t4 could do with being higher and wants to raise me to 100mcg. But first I need to adjust my calcium and parathyroid medication so we doing that first and then going back in 4 weeks for bloods again and then will raise my t4 as doesn’t want to do them both together as to much in one go and I need to make sure the calcium and parathyroid medication change is effective through symptoms. So thank u so much for your advice really appreciated. So I had a super successful appointment and he said we will get you to full feeling health we just need to keep trailing . So I’m super happy
That is a great result. Sounds like that endo is a keeper. It is good to change only one thing at a time so that you can tell what is causing any symptoms or benefits.
I have noticed that in the UK the GP or endo nearly always lowers the Levo when adding T3. Here in France that doesn't seem to happen. The Levo is not reduced when adding in the T3.
oh amazing thank you! Ok so I see him tonight I am going ask for the increase my t4 back to 100 and keep t3 the same trial it see how I go and I will say for speaking to other women online this has worked for better for them with keeping t4 the same. Thank you so much
