Very happy to hit 2 year mark from last AFIB incident. I was 48 when I had my first episode which terrified me, and the second episode was 9 months later. Both resolved on their own. I started working on lifestyle changes from the first incident. I focused on dropping milk from my diet and keeping

SPECT scan horror
I had a SPECT scan after first does of Pluvicto. I had no idea how horrible a scan could be. There are things that project out to get as close to you as possible. I have had many CT scans MRIs PET scans but this is different. I do have a bit of claustrophobia but never felt this horrible before. They

Blood pressure meds and RL
I have been put onto blood pressure medication, as my BP is 'dangerously' high. So far I've taken Losinipril, Perindropil, Propranolol, then moved to another type Doxazosin, a calcium channel blocker All of them have aggravated restless legs, to such an extent that I haven't slept for weeks, other than

Getting adequate bone minerals without milk or yogurt
I'm 66 and have osteopenia. I took calcium and Vitamin D for many years because I've always hated milk and yogurt. I have some digestive problems now and can't take calcium. I try to eat green veggies, and I eat cheese, but I worry about my bones. I tried calcium hydroxyapatite but got constipated.

hello, this is my first post - I’ve done a lot of lurking and learning here for a few months whilst waiting for blood test results. It’s kept me sane dipping in to this amazing space and given me confidence to get help and create structure around my health - which is amazing given where I was 6 months

High diastolic blood p Niraparib
Hi, Blood pressure going up again on Niraparib, but it does just seem to be the bottom number, the diastolic. Has anybody got any success stories of sorting this bit with meds? Had bad reaction to calcium channel blocker. Currently taking Candesartan, though wanting to increase dose but not been on

Heart-healthy foods.
New study [1]. It's well-known that men with PCa have a higher risk for cardiovascular disease. Even before ADT. Mark Moyad coined the phrase "heart-healthy is prostate healthy" and I think he is correct. The American "food pyramid" is a disaster imo, with grains at the bottom & fats at the

Latest results and changes to regime.
since my last post: Dropped my levo from 225 to 100. This by way of looking to reset the failures of the past 3 and half years. And at my last test my TSH was too low to register whilst my T4 was 22 so well above range. T3 not recorded. I have also reduced/monitored carb intake more so than previously

Endo regrowth after failed IVF
Hi all, I don’t know if anyone has any help or advice on this but I thought I’d ask. Has anyone gone through multiple rounds of IVF and found that their endo has started to worsen after laparoscopic removal? I’ve had 3 failed rounds of PGD IVF (medicated both long and short protocols) and had my laparoscopy

2 years today , no afib episodes
My last episode was a high stress move out of state 2 years ago. I'm 68. I've had afib for 10 years . Regular episodes every 6 months on average though more frequent in the early years before I got a proper diagnosis which took 3 years. I take flecainide , metoprolol , and Xarelto. No ablations. I'm

so many supplements, so much money - any advice for lowering the cost?
hi everyone, I’ve just added up how much I’m spending on ndt and supplements and it’s an awful lot of money. I wondered if anyone had advice on cheaper options or those they think are unnecessary. I’ve got hashimotos and have also been diagnosed with ME/ CFS - these are a mixture of things recommended

Suggestion if you suffer from constipation or IBS-C
If you suffer from hard, dry stools, constipation, stools that are hard to pass you can try: Magnesium Citrate This has worked for me and may help you. Besides drinking lots of water and working out, healthy diet But Magnesium Citrate is known to put water back into your stools. If you take too much

Doctor follow up
Quick recap: in hospital with pneumonia and Pred increased to 10mg (from 4.5mg). Saw GP on discharge and was prescribed 10mg for 4 weeks. He also cancelled my repeat prescription so he said to go back in 4 weeks. So, yesterday I saw another GP to renew my repeat prescription. Immediately I was asked

Trialling magnesium
