Hi all,
I don’t know if anyone has any help or advice on this but I thought I’d ask. Has anyone gone through multiple rounds of IVF and found that their endo has started to worsen after laparoscopic removal?
I’ve had 3 failed rounds of PGD IVF (medicated both long and short protocols) and had my laparoscopy surgery in 2021. A couple of times between IVF rounds/procedures I was put back on desogestrel to avoid pregnancy but during my two rounds I was off the pill for a longer duration.
AF has come on today and it has been the worst pain I’ve had in a long time since my surgery. As well, in the lead up to my period showing up, I’ve had constant pains in both legs (similar to RLS) and nothing is alleviating it. I’ve taken ibuprofen and Zapain, used warm compress and topical creams with magnesium and I’m at a loss. I can’t sleep properly and it makes me want to scream. Could this all be a sign that my endo has started to regrow?
My laparoscopy summary said this: Findings:
A small (1.5 cm) para fimbrial cyst on the right removed and sent for histology
Endometriotic lesions in both ovarian fossae, POD (pouch of Douglas), left uterosacral ligament and uterovesical fold excised Left-sided sigmoid adhesions divided to obtain access to the left ovarian fossa“
Sorry for the essay, I just feel that I have no one to talk to and I’m worried my GP won’t be any help (they aren’t the ones who referred me for the surgery, this was all arranged due to my concerns that I had it whilst in the process of starting PGD IVF and the clinic made the referral to the hospital)
