When I am under a lot of stress that I don't necessarily recognize, the tiniest thing brings in health anxiety.I am a walker 4 plus miles a day. It helps with my anxiety.
So yesterday my finger started twitching off and on. I started thinking the worse. Neurological condition, Parkinson, ALS, you name it and I thought it.
I come to realize that since I walk so much and eat basic healthy. It could be I'm low on magnesium. I stopped into walgreens and talked to the pharmacist. He recommended Calcium and magnesium. He asked if I have had any Charlie horses. And I have.
There is so much stress in my life as well.
So I'm going to try not to think about it and take the calcium and mag.
End of rant, thanks for listening.

I have gotten little weird muscle twitches throughout my entire life (more the older we get) & it hasn't affected my life one bit, so it's not something u should worry about, IMO. We with health anxiety tend to hyper focus on things that "normal" people feel regularly, but just ignore, I've realized (pains, growths, twitches, spots, weird sensations, thoughts, etc). Everyone has these things, they just don't focus on them, & can dismiss them without looking back. When it starts impacting your day to day life, only then should it be of concern (like if twitching was so bad it prevents u from holding a cup that u normally use to drink from, or something like that). U can ofc talk to ur doctor anytime, but that's my rule of thumb that has helped me to avoid focusing on things that can easily aggravate my health anxiety.
