Hi all! I’ve just completed my first ivf cycle and I’m looking for some advice from more experienced ivf ladies. in a nutshell, I’m wondering if I should change clinics or question them further. I am 40 and had previous successful pregnancy and miscarriages (12 years ago) good amh, afc and retrieved

Pain everywhere.
I've been 10+ yrs searching for answers. I had some bladder problems in 2013. Doctors did surgery. I almost died. Apparently they told me my blood vessels looked funny. They didn't know if they "knicked " me or what but I lost 8 pints of blood very quickly. They barely got me transfusion in time. I chalked

Getting a thyroidectomy soon, what to expect?
Hi, recently diagnosed with a tumour in my thyroid, so team at hospital will be removing the whole thing soon. I am overwhelmed with all this stuff I've been reading here about T4/T3, vitamins, calcium etc. I thought I just had to take a tablet every day, dosage might be adjusted if necessary, but that

Scans other than PSMA for PC
My husband’s PSA continues to rise yet his PSMA scans are all clear. His last PSMA was late October with a PSA of 4.7 His PSA today was 6.5 It seems I have noted on this forum some other type scans should be done besides PSMA. His ALK PHOSPHATE is 85 (normal) Calcium levels all normal. Thanks

I am in the throws of reading Chris van Tulleken's book Ultra-Processed People. It has been an eye opener. Not that one hasn't been aware of the harms of processed food but perhaps one has been unaware at how extensive it is and also how seemingly malicious for corporate gain? What does come out is

Prednisolone and osteopenia
Hi I had a Dex scan a few weeks ago and my bone density showed I have osteopenia, I was given calcium and vitamin D tablets to take twice a day. So would it help if I drank milk to help to augment this as I don't have milk normally but have yogurt. Thank you in advance for any replies. Peter.

Corzyna
I finally started Corzyna 12 days ago . The side effects were not as dramatic as I expected . I had nausea , bad taste , dizziness and lightheadedness, some pins and needles in my hands and feet mostly . Definitely not as bad as the calcium channel blockers or nitro that I tried before . I am very unsure

If you have fibro with RA are you given meds for fibro as well ?
Hello, I've had RA for at least a decade . Earlier this year I was taken off all my medication because I could never go more than 6 weeks without antibiotics due to infections .Turns out I had a severely infected sub mandibular gland packed with calcium stones which made it impossible to have any treatment

Raised calcium levels on prednisolone for pmr and long term lithium
my calcium levels are raised and have been for some time. At the last blood test they were 0.61. They have been 0.64. I’m not sure when the alarm bells will ring for the medical profession. A GP at our practice would not refer me to an NHS endocrinologist. I have been to see one privately. I have done

Verapamil and effects on thyroid
I have been wondering if my long term use of heart drug Verapamil has had any affect on my thyroid. I have been on Thyroxine for 22 years and Verapamil for about 18 years. I stumble across the following article and wondered if anyone can make head or tail of it. It says at the end it was safe for the

Osteoporosis and Levothyroxine
My osteopenia has become osteoporosis! I have been supplementing with calcium and Vit D3/K2 for years. I have to make a routine GP appointment, no doubt that will take weeks. My TSH has always been on the low suppressed side. Last test results TSH 0.05 (0.27 - 4.20) T4 21.2 (11.0

latest DEXA scan
Just had my 7 year anniversary of my PMR diagnosis. The last couple years have gone well with a couple minor flares but I've been at 1 mg and in a holding pattern for a few months until seen by Rheumy #5 in another week, another one I've never talked to before. I did have a DEXA scan in the first
