I finally started Corzyna 12 days ago . The side effects were not as dramatic as I expected . I had nausea , bad taste , dizziness and lightheadedness,some pins and needles in my hands and feet mostly . Definitely not as bad as the calcium channel blockers or nitro that I tried before . I am very unsure of what to do . I take 500mg as I am very sensitive to meds . My chest tightness,pain and sweating have not gone away . I had 3 nights with feeling unwell ,palpitations ,profuse sweating ,etc . It does not seem to help ,but I was told it might take time . One cardiologist suggested I stop,but the cardio who ordered it encouraged me to continue. What is your experience with Renaxa (Corzyna) in Canada .Thanks

I’m sorry to hear you’re still struggling. I did not get on well with Ranexa. It gave me what felt like increased heart palpitations but with a lot of force behind the heart beats. I think I also remember some chest pressure despite halving my dose from 375mg a day. I was barely on it for a week and I had to stop. I believe an irregular, fast or pounding heartbeat is one of the side effects of the medication, although your patient leaflet will have more information on this.

Your body may take some more time to adjust to the medication, which I know is not pleasant. If you cannot tolerate the symptoms any further, speak with your GP again.
