I've had hypertension 140-150-160/90 for a while and I received treatment (Atacand 16mg)from a cardiologist, but I have the impression that the medicine interacts with my hormone level, as if it puts me in a hypo state. I take it in the morning 2 hours after the hormone dose(112 t4 and 6t3), as if my skin becomes dry, I feel tired, etc...my cholesterol levels are ok otherwise. I am a 50 year old male hypo after RAI ablation 10 yrs ago.
Does anyone have experience with being hypo and having high blood pressure?

I have hypertension and am hypo. I was given Amlodipine which I was told to take at bedtime (I take my thyroid hormone replacement around 4am) and all was fine. I've now been changed to a betablocker which also lowers BP (Bisoprolol) which I take around 8am. Neither of these affected my thyroid levels.
Have you tested to check your thyroid levels and compared them to pre-BP medication?
I started with higher BP last year and was prescribed BP medication which didn't agree with me I then went online and found a natural Hawthorn Extract which I have been taking two a day for 9 months now and my BP is back to around 118/78. I read that in Germany even the GP's prescribe the Hawthorn it's been in used for over 100 years now. I take one at breakfast and another one at teatime. In France where I live they don't do natural it interferes with the Big Parma as in the US but in Germany they are more health aware with taking Naturals.
