Can Sea Moss Gel affect your thyroid blood test
I recently had a thyroid blood test (nhs) and have been informed by my GP that the results show a slight abnormality and to re take the blood test in one month . The only change I have made is to add Sea Moss Gel to my morning drink , could this have affected my thyroid as Sea Moss Gel contains 92

Thyroid levels re anxiety
I’ve had problems with a cycle of anxiety feelings. I feel well for 3 weeks then ill for 2 to weeks, this started about 3.5 years ago when I was put on cabizamol. I am on a host of anti depressants and anti anxiety drugs. I felt a lot of my problems related to thyroid problems and in august last year

Raised ALT and GGT after surgery but worried about Hepatitis/other illnesses
Hi, I have been feeling unwell for a while, which I think is mostly anxiety. Nausea throughout the day, a bit of fatigue and sweating at night. I went away with friends and had a very hard drinking weekend, the week after until the present day (3 months) has been horrible. Nausea and fatigue mostly.

Goitre & supplementing selenium & iodine
Does anyone supplement with selenium & iodine? I have a multi-modular goitre which is not really causing any problems. I do not take any thyroid medication. I have had a lot of blood tests done because I have a lot of unexplained symptoms like fatigue, insomnia, aches, brain fog, digestive issues etc

Why do I have heart palpitations with these thyroid results?
Hello beautiful people. I would love to get your input as to why I get heart palpitations, high pulse and HBP with my current thyroid and other results. Yes, my TSH is slightly raised, but it actually went down from 6.9 in Nov to 4.9 in Feb on Levo 75 mcg, so it should continue to go down. I've

CT scan iodine query
Hi. My cardiologist has booked me in for a CT cardio scan to rule out heart disease. This uses iodine based dye to show up the arteries. Iodine and the thyroid
Could someone help with explaining this article I found on the British Thyroid Foundation site. I eat salmon. Is this to be avoided due to its iodine content? Or is it good for hypothyroidism? I have added this to my diet over the last 6 months. Can this affect the thyroid e.g going overactive or

Thyroid hormone journey: Metabolism
For anyone who is trying to understand things like T4:T3 conversion, the deiodinase enzymes, how thyroid hormones move round the body and into cells, and so on. Make sure you have plenty of time undisturbed. It is very long! Follow the link. Read - slowly. :-) [i]

Not reacting well to T3
Hello All, I wonder if there are people here who have not reacted well to T3? This is the second time I'm trying to take it. First time, it was about 5 years ago when I needed to raise my T3, it was at 20% range. I took just 5mcg of compounded T3 as per my Doc advice and started to feel anxious,

GP knew less than I did about RLS :’-(
my RLS has got considerably worse and I’m at my maximum dosage. I called for an appointment with my GP and initially she said it did sound like I had RLS. Whilst on the phone she was googling it. She seemed to think iron wouldn’t help as I’m not anemic. I’m going to buy iron supplements anyway and
