The curse continues. My mom has breast cysts and i was a total j3rk
I was triggered as every evening. I saw that the only concert i want to go to has all the tickets sold. In Bulgaria there's only bad music. And nobody will come to my birthday. My summer as a young adult will be just misery. And mom starts telling sis she's fed up of sis being sick every month and mom

Back home & overthinking
After 12 days in hospital I am back home. I now have to wear morphine patches, (butec), take oramorph, cyclizine and various other medication. I've started my prostap injections so I'm mindful of monitoring my mood. I take HRT gel and tablets. It's a drain. So I decided not to to with the emergency

Need advice about fistula please
Hello! I had my first surgery for a fistula yesterday. Surgeon connected my brachial artery to my basilic vein at the elbow. I had a nerve block in my arm that they told me would last for 18 to 24 hours and it was already starting to wear off while I was in recovery. A few hours later and it was

Will it, won’t it?
My AFib occurs roughly every 3-5 weeks and ranging from 12-30 hrs. I am going into hospital next Friday 26th for surgery under an GA and have to take my last apixaban Tuesday evening. Pre op said it was unlikely surgery would go ahead if I was in Afib. I’ve been waiting a year for surgery so I obviously

Has anyone had to deal with low pressure after trabeculecyomy? I had the fourth of my weekly post- trabeculectomy follow ups today. The pressure was 5. Before the operation the pressure was consistently around 15. Week one after surgery it was 15, week two, 17 ( then stitch removed) Week 3 was 20. Stitch

Filling the syringe
I did my first 8 subcutaneous b12 injections as I was shown by the doctor. Since then the nurse at my g.p. surgery has been doing my injections every 2 weeks as prescribed. (She offered me the choice of continuing to do it myself or she would do it.)The consultant had told me if I wanted to give myself

Struggling after surgery & with political climate
I had surgery on my legs a little over a week ago and have been recovering at home since. I've gotten really depressed and am having anxiety, especially after watching the political news and reading about everyone's worst fears on social media regarding the outcome of the US election. I can now walk

Hi all, I'm scheduling for aka Comprehensive Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery (Rotator Cuff Repair, Subacromial Decompression, and Shoulder Tenotomy). Fun! I live alone. I've arranged for cleaning, for grocery and food delivery, for errand running. I will try to schedule physical therapy and gather meds

I’ve been following your excellent supportive site since a minor heart issue 5 weeks ago when I was diagnosed with an enlarged right ventricle and atelactasis in base of 2 lobes and referred for an echocardiogram, the result of which I now have. No significant abnormalities….which I’m grateful for.

ET and Successful Hip Replacement
Hello friends, I posted some months ago about needing hip replacement for arthritis, and I appreciate the many replies I received. I am 5 weeks out from my surgery and doing great. I was able to have the surgery where I see my MPN specialist. I was nervous, given this was my first surgery since diagnosis

I've been told I am 'too young' for surgery/diagnosis.
Hi girls, I've got 'suspected endometriosis' and would like to clarify some things. I've always had severely painful, heavy, and irregular periods but in the last 2ish years it has got out of control. My 'periods' can last over 60 days (continuously bleeding) and I bleed a lot in between periods to the

Royal Brompton : Question about graft and not so string teeth.
I am scheduled for CABG X 3 in mid October at Royal Brompton. I have few questions: 1. I will have graft taken both from hand and leg. Do they make keyhole incision or a cut? 2. I had a tooth chipped off couple of weeks back. I am bit worried that my teeth might not be that strong and may chip off
