Breathlessness coming back
Since coming out of hospital 4 weeks ago following 9 days of iv tazocin and all the other treatments I have felt on top of the world. Climbing stairs, and doing everything without feeling puffed. It;s been brilliant. Since yesterday I have noticed my breathing becoming laboured again. I've also noticed

Cravings and understanding them
Breathing
exercise
- Depending on how you breathe can determine how you are left feeling; more energised, more relaxed, happier, sometimes you can even be left feeling quite anxious if you are not breathing properly. So have a practice in learning the best technique for yourself.

Smoking, Copd, and much more, there is a light at the end of that tunnel.
I woke up couldn't breath, or walk the 6 steps to the loo, I tried all the
exercise
for calming the
breathing
taught at Copd re-hab, and managed to get to kitchen, only to start screaming for my son. How do you scream for help when you can't breath, is beyond me, but thank god I was heard.

Hi everyone, This week I had my first appointment with a physio and was talking to a friend about it today. When she asked how it went, my reply was that I am not sure really. After being a little hesitant about the referral (I was struggling at the time and thought my cons was going down the anxiety

Using a deep

Breathing Exercise (2) How to cough up what's not supposed to be there...
When you first stop smoking, you may feel that you have more phlegm and mucus on your chest. This may cause you to feel a bit rattly and as though you need to 'cough something up'... Doesn't sound very nice, I know but this is a good sign. At the end of the day, you are only coughing up what

Hello - week 5 and breathing exercise for asthma
Hi everyone I've been lurking for ages and started the programme at the beginning of June. So I thought it was about time to introduce myself. I've read other blogs and how other people have tried and managed it, but always thought it wasn't something that I could do: too old (41 and not a fan of

Jonathan (alias Quit)
Good morning all Okay day 4 will start at 12 noon - this could / should mean things will get less intense (mad!!), might even manage to do some work today - rather than just sitting there half zombiefied (spelling rubbish!!). Got to read a book (No.1 on list) last night and found breathing exercises

Qi Gong - exercise that helps on many levels.
I find it does boost energy and helps keep things mobile, also helps with shortness of breath, especially if you incorporate
breathing
exercise
into it.

It's all change
Have also mentioned that I am going to have a stab at losing a stone, have been advised that increasing my
exercise
should help, have explained that with my
breathing
problems that I cannot keep a regular brisk pace for an extended length of time, so advised to just keep toddling along for the time being

breathing
well with copd etc to stay as healthy as possible to fight infection, have every intention to stay as fit & well as possible in the hope of slowing down the progression. Hope you dont mind my re-posting posting this mypeppa.
