Ipf
Hi, can anyone offer any advice. Dad's had ipf for nearly 6 years now but has dramatically gone down hill over the last few weeks. He is sleeping more, lost his appetite and now needs his oxygen 24-7. We can cope with most things but this awful cough is the most dabilatating and upsetting thing for

It seems to me
Some of you go to Pulmonary Rehabilitation, not for me btw I go to the gym and I have a part time job so I think I get enough
exercise
but it seems to me that
breathing
for us is a big problem. Why are there no breathing classes on the NHS or if there is I don't know about them.

3 months post ablation--Mr AFIB is back!
Just had my three month post Cryo evaluation and the results were not positive. Two weeks in advance of the three month date, my physician weaned me off off Flecainide to see how I would do. Unfortunately, my 24 hour monitor that showed I was in AFIB for 16 hours only one week after being completely

Hello I'm new here. I have panic disorder and GAD, advice?
Hello everyone! I never thought something like this would happen to me until about 2 months ago. I'm normally a super positive person, but after my first panic attack everything changed. I'm sure my story is very similar to other users, but something about making my own post makes me feel better. So

Can anyone relate? A tough Endo year
Hi I've had a rotten endo year this year. I am just 40 and I was diagnosed 19 years ago with stage 4 endo. Last year I was pregnant for the first time naturally, but I found out on Boxing Day that I had a missed miscarriage at 9.5 weeks. My fallopian tube also wrapped around my bowel so I ended up

Do relaxation
exercise
, fingers to shoulders and toes to hips.
Breathing
, ever out breath count the number one in my mind. Just think one on every out breath. Apparently stops mind wandering.

START
Start your stop smoking plan with START S = Set a quit date. Choose a date within the next two weeks, so you have enough time to prepare without losing your motivation to quit. If you mainly smoke at work, quit on the weekend, so you have a few days to adjust to the change. T = Tell family, friends

Anxiety
Out of nowhere bam! It comes and I cannot shake it. My husband is a diabetic and when he starts talking about his levels there it is. I get so annoyed because I don't want to hear it and he knows that. I want to say shut up but I can't or I won't. I cannot hurt him. So on comes the anxiety. Here I go

Running and asthma
Need some advice please is there anyone else that has asthma and goes running. Normally just have Symbicort in the morning and night but have had to use blue inhaler in the daytime the last couple of weeks. Should I use the inhaler before I go running or are there any breathing exercises I could use

I ended up in the ER AGAIN..
Okay so I'll start at the beginning. I went to my pharmacy to pick up my Xanax prescription because I was out, but the pharmacy was closed. I'm taking quite a bit of Xanax daily, prescribed by my psychiatrist as he and my therapist desperately try to figure out what's triggering my panic attacks and

How to cope with anxiety
Any tips would be gratefully received. I have looked at the Mindfulness meditation website and attempting to do some of their breathing exercises; I had some CBT two years ago which sort of helped and I find it hard to put what I learnt into practice (forgotten most of it!). I get really panicked when

respiratory allergy?
Plenty of unmanageable wheezing, difficulty
breathing
, coughing, and tightness. I couldnt
exercise
as that triggered my tight
breathing
and led to panic and often hyperventilation. More antibiotics from the doctor, kicked the cold and reduced the chest symptoms but the wheeze never ever went away.

SERIOUS Experiment: Can EVERYBODY following this site, all over the globe help me 2 help somebody else with focused thought & meditation!
Where do I begin?? I was given a book to read and in short was very impressed and very excited about the possibilities. I did not allow myself to be put off by the cover as its choice of image is not a good one, but the contents is dynamite. I must now read it again... I have put its advice into practice

build an emotional survival guide
After much stress and needless worry my monthly visitor arrived last Friday night, it seems that my week spent worrying if my period would ever return was the calm before the storm; aunt flow arrived with all the fury of God’s own thunder. Friday evening was painful but I woke in the early hours of Saturday
