Cancer Center Keeps Making Errors that make my application for a Medical Marijuana card get denied
I am so frustrated! My second application for a MMC was denied as the Physicians License # was in error. The first one was denied because their phone number was not included. This is just crazy! I've written a letter about that to them and will be giving it to either my onc or the NP that I see

Treatment wait length- Public Health System Ireland
Hi all, I'm waiting on a scan appointment for suspected Ovarian Cyst and I'm in a lot of pain. I'm paying for it myself as I don't have health insurance and my consultant said I could be waiting 3 months on the Public Health waiting list. My mom had a 1kg cyst removed a few years ago and full hysterectomy

pre-op advice please
I have just been diagnosed with bowel cancel. Small tumour and they don’t believe it has spread. In 4 weeks I will have an operation to remove the tumour and part of the bowel. I would appreciate advice on how to prepare for the operation. What food to eat / avoid. For those that have been through this

Hand surgery went well
The scheduler phoned me Monday to offer me an earlier procedure on Tuesday and I jumped at the chance to be the first patient of the day for the hand surgeon! When he's not running late, and is likely at his best. But that meant we had to get up at 4 am! Itold every body that I probably didn't need

Diclofenac for neuropathy/HFS caused by Xeloda
hello everyone I suffer from hand and foot syndrome and neuropathy so I have been looking for ways to ease the pain. I have been on Doxil (IV chemo every 4 weeks, Doxorubicin) since June 2023 and the pain has been hard physically and emotionally. Yesterday my oncologist’s nurse practitioner mentioned

Anyone have hypercalcemia?
Hi, All! I've been doing pretty well since my diagnosis and b12 injections for 5 months or so. I still had some lingering symptoms that I felt were not related to pernicious anemia. Anyway, the other day I ended up in the ER with kidney stones and hyponephrosis (urine backing up into kidney, swollen

Chatbots Not Always Reliable for Cancer Treatment Advice - MedPage Today, August 24, 2023.
Seems AI for cancer info and advice might not yet be ready for prime time. For the immediate future, I'd trust something like Cancer Hacker Lab long before a Chatbot for info and guidance on treatment, esp. if it was other than SOC. * * * [i]

I was diagnosed with AN in left ear 3 years ago. It is not growing but a routine scan a year ago showed another AN on the right side 4mm. I had genetic testing but it is not NF2. A year later it is 9.5mm and I was sent to an oncologist regarding Gamma knife. The oncologist says the growth has been

Incorrect Hospital Records
Hi, I’ve been having some problems with the respiratory team and requested a copy of my hospital records, which I’ve received. After going through them, there’s lots of information missing and details which are incorrect. I’m a severe asthmatic, and the consultant has now noted “no definitive diagnosis
