Thank you and more questions

First, thank you for those who have commented/offered advice on my prostate cancer treatment questions. Much appreciated as I move forward on this journey.

I have recently read about a new tumor focused cancer treatment out of the City of Hope. Experimental, but seems to be able to focus action on an specific tumor. Any thoughts or comments on this treatment.

One of my friends suggested I look into the cyberknife 'surgery'. Again, comments.

BTW was scheduled for surgery (prostate and lymph nodes) but that has been postponed. Seems the hospital can't find enough anesthesiologists, which is the cause for delay. Gives me more time to investigate alternatives to address the Gleason 4+3 tumor on my right node; PSA 5.52.

Thanks in advance

The universe gave you a reprieve!

Surgery for individual lymph nodes is definitely non-curative. If there is cancer in one pelvic lymph node, assume there is cancer in all your pelvic lymph nodes. Lymph is a fluid that carries cancer cells too small to be seen by any kind of imaging.

The only potentially curative option for you is whole pelvic radiation + at least 2-3 years of ADT + a 2nd generation hormonal agent for 2 years.

Not what you're looking for?
