Any thoughts?
Hi - I was diagnosed in Jan 2012 HGSOC stage 3C. I’ve had a lot of chemo lines and two surgeries but had very good quality of life over the years. (Details of treatment in profile.) I am currently almost through weekly paclitaxel but numbers rising and scan showed slight progression. Seeing oncologist

Hi all, I'm a C and D type and at times need to have something to get my bowels moving again and then on occasion have random and difficult to predict attacks of D. have managed to cut Lactose which helped but some things still trigger me and stress too. I have had many near misses but yesterday I had

Share your quitting success stories: What helped you quit smoking?
I am noticing a few posts lately about people who are trying to quit smoking. Being a former smoker myself I understand how hard it can be to quit. Truthfully, creating a lasting change in life is tough enough (for me at least) without the added burden of nicotine addiction making it even harder. That

Fostair - So far so good!
Well Peeps, day 3 of the previously dreaded Fostair on the advice of my GP practice Pharmacist/Respiratory Nurse, & no side effects whatsoever. What I was dreading was similar to the previous 'maintenance' inhalers, Tiotropium & Aclidinium, both of which delivered a paradoxic reaction & had to be stopped

My Christmas present
After 8 years of chemo for stage 4 Ovarian Cancer Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma, at 71, i am still here! I've had every line of chemo and capsules, including lynparsa and Zejula, now on Etoposide! I have maintained a Ca125 of 600 for 3 months, with a slight dip down from 620. My best Christmas present

Accelerated speed of discovery could lead to more effective smoking cessation aids.
Smoking claims the lives of more than seven million people each year. Smoking tobacco delivers nicotine to the neuroreceptors responsible for addiction, affecting the nervous system and causing addiction.A new study, led by scientists from the University of Bristol, into the molecular interactions involved

Does anyone have cancer and going through treatments, all my doctors cannot answer me as to why I have all the gut problems (blowing up with gas) have tried peppermint tea, gas ex, Mylanta, eating nothing everyday. I’m shocked!
My Endo who sent me for radioactive iodine whole body scan isn’t a Endocrinologist after all he’s a military medical intern who now works in pediatrics and I’m left without a doctor and have thyroid cancer recurrence. Can you believe this I even asked him you plan on sticking around here and he said

Not the most pleasant of questions
I have cirrhosis and along with a multitude of other medication I take lactulose daily. Now as you may be aware one of the nice side effects of lactulose is flatulence, and I mean pretty much none stop. This is both embarrassing to me and irritating to my family, is there anything I can do? is it ok

I’m farting blood. Not joking
Sorry this is a graphic pic but I need people to know how much blood Im talking about. I just turned 40 years old and have gone for colonoscopies every 2 or 3 years for the past 10 years because of blood in my stool and I have a family history of colon cancer. Every time it’s the same results/story,

Vitex and Myo inositol
Hi I have SLE over the past 9 years. I have PCOD and hormonal imbalance. I am trying to conceive for the past 3 years. But all the treatments failed. I tried IUI also. Now I am planning to take vitex and Myo Inositol supplements to cure hormonal imbalance. Is it good or bad to try them with lupus?
