Tapering off pramexole
I've been reading this forum for a couple of years and it's really helpful. I'm in the states and I know this is a UK forum so I'm using American measurements. A little background. Thirteen years ago my husband complained I was treating the bed like a trampoline. I was sleeping through all of it, except

Is there seasonality to testosterone levels?
My ADT treatments (Lupron/Abiraterone/Prednisone) ended on May 02 2023 at which point both my PSA and Testosterone were flat lined. Here are the results of the four times I have been tested since the end of the ADT. * Aug 18 2023: PSA is 0.09, Testosterone is 3.3 nmol/l (95.2 ng/dL), Testosterone

Does one AF episode warrant medication
Hi Forum. At my pre op assessment (for hip surgery) last Monday the ECG showed AF. No symptoms at all, I walk my dogs +/- 4 miles daily. My BP machine shows normal resting heart rate and BP.So on strength of one ECG my GP has prescribed anticoagulant tabs which I know is for the AF risk of clotting.

Private Endo and T3
Hi all, I haven't posted in a few months as I've been waiting for a telephone appointment with a private endo. In the interim I've been taking my Levo only, alternating 125mcg and 112.5mcg and feeling OKish, but not brilliant, low energy etc.. Had total thyroidectomy 2 years ago. I had my private consultation

GP & Endo Suggestions for brighton east sussex area?
So.. Had the same conversation with gp yesterday.. Even though my T 4 has fallen by 3.7 digits for no reason.. He still is saying I'm over medicated because my tsh is surpressed.. He actually said that whatever my T 3 and T 4 levels are, if my TSH is surpressed that means that I am over medicated.I

clotting whilst on warfarin for clots in lungs.
I’ve been trying to find out why I’ve had breathlessness for 3 years. In 2021 NHS pulmonary consultant arranged Ct scan abd lung function tests. Lung function tests results said good. Ct scan revealed very mild dry bronchiectasis and very mild emphysema - both too mild to be classed as COPD. Was discharged

Pre diabetes post bypass surgery?
I had an alarming text from my GP surgery telling me the result of a blood test showed that I’m pre diabetic and that I could enroll onto a programme to improve my lifestyle! I was absolutely shocked . I contacted my GP surgery (using the irritating on line form /application for advice of doom 🤦🏼)

PCOS... what to do?
Hi all,I'm 36 and have recently been diagnosed with PCOS. I wanted to get a better understanding of what it is and how to conceive as we are desperate for a family of our own. I had no symptoms other than recently having a missed period. I've had blood tests and an ultrasound which showed everything

A blood test that looks for changes in certain proteins could help predict dementia in a patient up to 15 years before a formal diagnosis
Not PD specific but interesting… https://news.sky.com/story/proteins-in-blood-can-predict-dementia-risk-15-years-before-diagnosis-13070321

hi I’ve just had my bloods done today and I’ve got the results, I just wondered if this is right that the laboratory said I don’t need another blood test for a year!! I was diagnosed in June 2023 and in dec blood test my Tsh and t4 took a dive down to wrong side, now today results are good but not optimal

Still Looking for Suggestions
So my post kind of got highjacked into multiple directions. LOL! So I started and new one. My concern is still how to withdrawl from Ropinarole without losing my mind during the DAY. I have something for nighttime but the US is so paranoid from the abuse of opioids that only a miracle would help me

Blood results - Any Advice?
Hi! Just looking for maintenance recommendations and any advice is greatly appreciated! Went to a new doctor (endocrinologist) to get a 2nd opinion on my thyroid condition. Of course, my goal is to heal and get off meds completely one day but she said she does not feel it is possible. Was first
